CNN has reported that Ms Franklin passed away this morning...she was under hospice care for the past few days...

Godspeed Aretha. Every year it seems we lose more and more of the people that made the last century so alive with music. I'm scared to turn on the news anymore.


Just a heads up for anyone who may be interested. Next month a two disc set of the Atlantic singles in mono 67-70 should come out. I don't think its a cash in or anything like that as it was announced five or six weeks ago.
