My picture files has the pink bucket listed as 8.5" tall. That sounds a little big.
I wonder if they measured the side from top to bottom, instead straight down from the top rim to the table - which would be a bit shorter.

Yeah, but only about 1/8 in. difference.
Got this from an old auction.... 8.25" deep bucket has a 9" diameter . That is about a 170 oz. bucket size. Big .

Hi, My Green Monster bucket i bought is about 8 inches tall. The Pink Bucket is about 8 1/2 inches tall. Yes these are fairly large., Not Miniature. I was concerned the green bucket was gonna be small, But its just a tad smaller than the pink one. They display well next to each other. I enjoy looking at them everyday in the living room. ::) ::)

Not as vintage or as cool (though it does glow) as your buckets, but it is also theatre related. I've had it for allot of years. No dates aside from the Universal copyright dates, but based on the General Cinema logo I'm thinking I got this about 88' or 89'.

Have to do a little bit of clean up , joining, and slight color work, maybe add one of my companies logos, then the full run at the print shop. (Still trying to find exact buckets with that lower ridge around top lip). These are going to be a big hit at party !

A bit, buckets were photographed by stationary camera as they turned on electric turntable. Sort of a reverse panoramic view. Sizing is the tricky part to fit exactly on bucket circumferences. Just about perfect now. You can see in picture that Dracula's shoulder is not quite behind the Monster's shoulder correctly. But all fixed now. Buckets in the different colors and sizes will be printed next week at the shop. Buckets are already waxed, but I think we will give them an extra sealant on the outside. They stand up well to being filled with ice also.
That's another thing. How did you (somebody) print onto those already formed buckets?

3-4 color Screen printing on a bucket. Pretty simple. Plenty of vids on youtube. We do not have one of those big machines, just a small pail attachment for screen print slide table.

I'm sure "somehow" these will show up in the marketplace. Anytime something is reprinted it cheapens the original. Not just in value but it just makes it not as unique anymore. Obviously I dont expect you to understand my feelings on this simply by the way you replied to my post. Yes toys can be sacred. Why Not? Couldn't you just make a similar bucket with monsters on it in that style without directly copying it? An homage piece instead of a repro.

Toys can be sacred. Did not know they were connected to God. Anyway...I do not expect them to show up on Ebay or any auction site. They are not leaving my possession. If I wanted I guess I could sell a few million to the movie theaters, (just kidding), but it is all in good Halloween fun.

If there was a warehouse find of original buckets, should they be burned, so the ones that people already have aren't less special? I mean, if everybody who wanted one had one, they'd be no more special than a Funko "Pop" toy.
This bucket is cool because the graphics not the rarity or value. If there were a 100,00 of these popcorn buckets I'd still be psyched to have one!

I love it Mike. personally i HATE THE FUNKO toys, new wobble heads and worse are the Lego monster figures. I wouldn't buy it for a child.
Was messing around today with artwork to make smaller buckets and we printed out a 6 " x 17 " picture on glossy stock. It is really nice ! I think it would make a nice framed item. Any thoughts ?

May be a moot point anyway. With all the different variations of these "new" buckets that have been shown around, and after all the inquires from people and a very attractive offer from another company. These may indeed show up in the hands of consumers, collectors, and eventually re-sellers . Things can happen.
What about licensing on the characters...or the fact that it's someone else's art, and you own none of it.

I suppose they did that to hide the discoloration from butter stains and the dust that inevitably would have stuck to them.
They could have accomplished the same thing by placing a loose paper liner inside. No permanent damage that way.

I don't understand. If repros can't be differentiated from originals, how will being patient and paying up help in getting an original? You might just end up paying more for a fake.

But much/most of the time the repros are passed off as originals to fool naïve buyers. That's the very idea. You're advising people not to be fooled by fakes, but by definition people don't get fooled deliberately. I just don't understand your point.

Some people think it's ridiculous to pay hundreds of dollars for a paper popcorn bucket...or a candy bucket with a hole in it. I like vintage monster items too (and have several), but I can see the other side of the argument as well when it comes to purchases such as this. Everyone has their own opinion about the monetary worth of these items. Letting your opinions be known is why we're here. Beating it to death doesn't serve a purpose.
