I was recently reading about how in Paris there are people who will go into the underground mines and do whatever. Usually carve sculptures in the rocks. Of course it's illegal to go down there but people do it because who wouldn't want to be like The Phantom? Anyways, I guess back in 2006 there was a police raid on this underground bar and movie theater that some of these people made. What's most interesting was the lack of any real illegal activity other than the crimes of being in the mines and not having a bar license. The police actually found the place when nobody was around so no one got caught. But some people who were part of it uploaded pictures online.

What a joint! Thankfully, someone took pictures inside before it closed in 1941 ...
same year America entered WWII. Some connection there, perhaps? I wonder how

There's actually a horror movie made about the Catacombs of Paris. Interesting premise for a film.
