Last night I caught some commercials for this upcoming show and I'm really looking forward to it. Anyone else?
Hmmm, I don't know? I usually don't like movies/shows that put historical figures in completely un-historic circumstances. Most movie bios have enough fiction in them as it is.
I recorded the show, but have yet to watch it. Maybe tonight. I saw the name Houdini, and my pupils enlarged. Hopefully, it will be entertaining. :)
The lead characters don't look or act very much like the two men, and the piece was very anachronistic.
But as basic genre stuff, it was passable.
Just watched it and the jury is still out for me, my wife gave it 2 thumbs down.
I thought Houdini And Doyle was on the whole entertaining and reasonably well done. But I missed Bates Motel to catch it, and it's not good enough for me to miss another episode of Bates Motel.
Just watched the second episode last night. Really enjoyed it. They're going for a modern hip cop show vibe but set in the turn of the century. Pretty neat. Neat show. I'll keep watching. Currently watching the Outer Limits.
Great classic monster reference in last night's show...they were investigating a supposed winged creature and while looking through old books and papers on demons there is an full head drawing of the monster from "Curse of the Demon"
Great little Easter egg!

I caught that too. That was neat!
Saw the first episode a couple weeks ago. Though unrealistic overall a fun show. Liked it enough that through X-finity,the wife and I watched 2,3 and 4 back to back. Haven't seen 5 yet but I'm sure it will be good.
I watched the first 3, but that third one's watch-date was delayed - procrastinated - due to a lowering interest. I never caught any others. I had higher hopes and couldn't say why it didn't grab me - "forced storylines to confront pre-suffragette issues" might have been a thorn.
