Title: What do Monster collectors want?
Post by: John Febonio on February 19, 2016, 02:37:06 PM
Hi All,

I thought I would start a thread asking the simple question of ,
"What do monster collectors want?"
As a producer of monster paintings I ask this to myself constantly. "What do they want? Who do they want?"
With that , what is it that would make most of your walls happy?

I have a friend who is an artist. I have told him repeatedly that if he paints territory others are slower to tread in he will do better. then he paints a half dozen Batman paintings instead, lol. So--be prepared for the answers you might receive. If you are asking what would be commercially successful: the newer stuff amongst the younger set, and the obscure amongst the older set. Play to your demographic.

I want highly detailed, highly articulated clothed figures 8" or less in size. I had the molded plastic figures and 12" is just far to large and hard to display. I want what DD or Mezco is doing. The perfect balance between displayable size and realist detail.
