Title: Original Aurora Monster Model advertising brochure
Post by: ChrisW on February 06, 2016, 02:47:28 PM
This recently sold on Ebay for $515.00. While the outside shows damage the inside is in good condition. Two points of interest are the human actor "mock-up" of the intended Dracula kit, and the notice stating that Aurora queried leading psychologists to ensure that the monster model kits wouldn't be harmful to young, impressionable minds...

Even here it's James Cagney. I was under the impression it was an accident they did him. Now it seems almost on purpose.

Do any closer shots exist of that guy in the Dracula getup? From a distance, squinting, he doesn't look half bad, generic vampire-wise. Spooky.  Could make for an interesting garage kit...the "lost" Aurora Dracula.

See if this gives you a better view of the interior of the brochure. I don't know if you have to be a member of Hobbytalk, or not, to view images there...
