Hey boys and girls,

I'm travelling over from the uk to disneyworld florida orlando and would love to pick up some toys / collectables while I'm over. can anyone suggest any good swap meets / toy shops / collectors in that area that I could check out?

It's a pity that Sci-Fi World on International Drive went out of business, they had a great store with a life-sized, 3-D mural of a War of the World's spaceship crashing through the wall. Enterprise 1701 was a great comics/collectibles store; apparently they morphed into Sci-Fi City (confusing, isn't it), but I have not been to this new store. The Sci-Fi Drive In Diner at Disney Studios is neat, as well. Also, Universal Studios had a classic monster themed restaurant, but I'm not sure if it is still there. Good luck, and enjoy your trip.

A buddy of mine was just at Universal Orlando last month and they do indeed still have the Monster Cafe in some capacity. I'd really dig seeing photos of what it looks like now. Unfortunately for him, Universal's new park's props retail store had yet to open, but it is open now. As you can see, there's some very cool - though I'm told pricey - items in it:
