I'm looking on eBay to complete my sideshow 12" collection, and almost every listing says that is have never been taken out of the box.
Obviously, there's no way to know for sure but I was wondering if there was any way to tell? Pay attention to the tape on top?
Also, for instance the Ghost of Frankenstein figure has a plastic strip running across it's legs when it has never been taken out, but is that the case for all the figures?
I'm looking at a Bride model and I don't see that...
If the tape seals (top or bottom) have been broken, then there's no way to know if it's been removed from the box (if they were careful). I would just assume they have been removed, at some point.
I've never taken mine out of the box. What figures are you looking at. Maybe I can take some pics when I dust over Thanksgiving break.
Specifically the Quasimodo figure.
