Greetings. The overhaul forum theme has been changed to reflect new features added to the forum. Some features are currently visible and some are not yet visible. The old theme was no longer compatible to the updated software version.
I fully realize some folks may not like change being thrust upon them, but hopefully you will gradually grow accustom to the change and begin to enjoy the benefits that it brings.
Changes will be visible in the menu bar:
* All new Classifieds board (not activated yet).
* Staff List - get to know big army brass.
* Donations link - for whenever the mood strikes.
Feel free to ask any questions that you may have in regards to using this new theme.

Greetings! In with the new and out with the old! You may have noticed that the way you view this forum has changed along with the default theme. The old theme was no longer compatible with current version of this forum's software. There are new forum options that would not present themselves with the old theme. Therefore, it had to go. I feel the new default theme 'Monster Black' is still pretty darn close to what most of you were used to seeing anyways, so it shouldn't be too much of a shock.
You may also wish to change your theme preference to something more 'monster specific' such as our Dracula theme, or our Glow In The Dark theme, or our Creature from the Black Lagoon theme.
To change your theme, you must click on "Profile" on the top menu, then look to the left inside the 'Modify Profile Box' for something called "Look and Layout Preferences". Click on it, and then look for Current Theme: Forum or Board Default (change). Click on change and you will see a variety of theme colors to pick and choose from.
It should look like this:

It is has been brought to my attention that the animated background at this forum (cobweb or snow flakes) is causing trouble for some members with lesser graphic cards.
I will be providing later tonight a new theme template just like this one which will not have the animated background. This should help those folks who have been experiencing difficulties.
This forum now has a non-animated black theme available for immediate use. The name of the theme is 'Monster Black Static Background'. This theme does NOT have any animation in it's background. No blinking cobwebs or falling snow flakes; just plain black. This non-animated theme should help those members who find an animated background makes for slow load times with their graphics card.
To change to this static black theme, please follow the instructions found in my earlier post here at this thread. If any members wish for the administrators to make this change for them, please feel free to contact any of us and we will be happy to make the change for you.
* Addendum to previous post - I decided to make the non-animated background theme the default theme used at this forum. If you prefer the animated theme, you will have to switch back to that theme by choosing it in your profile / look and layout preferences.

I was the first to remark about the scrolling problem the background was causing. The new background is dull, but a lot more functional, so thanks for making the changes and I hope I haven't spoiled anybody's Christmas by making the snowflakes go away. (That was never my intention. Really!)

Not to worry fibbermac. It was a good suggestion. Those folks who still wish to have the animated background may still do so by selecting their choice of theme in their "look and layout options."

I posted the question earlier about other new themes like a Wolfman theme and a Creature from the Black Lagoon theme. How is the Wolfman one coming along. I have not heard anything more about it in awhile, just checking.

That is awesome, thanks. I can't wait to have a cool wolfman theme. I have Drac on there for the moment cause I wanted back to a monster theme from the snow flakes. Next stop wolfman theme. It is very appreciated just so you know.
What is the chance also that you could pm me when you get the Wolf Man one done? I may forget to check and don't want to miss out on changing mine over.

Hi Wolf Man. Thanks for your never ending patience. I'm so sorry about the delay! I've been swamped with membership kit orders, posters, Marx Dracs, and my real job too. I'm happy to report that I'm finally getting caught up. I'm looking forward to completing the Wolf Man template this week! I promise I will get this done THIS WEEK or my name isn't ....

Cool, I look forward to seeing it and changing mine over to it. Maybe a dark blue sky with full moons or something like that, or Wolf Man heads howling at the moon. That would make a cool gif.

I am currently working on a few new themes and this includes the long awaited Wolf Man theme. Wolf Man is very close to being finished. My gratitude for your patience. I know I've been promising this Wolf Man theme for a very long time, but now that Wonderfest is finally behind us, I am devoting more of my time to the daily operations of this forum. This includes new upcoming features as well as new themes.

My profile reverted back to the default theme and I wanted to change it back to the Wolfman theme and it is not showing available. Is there some problem?
The old themes weren't compatible with the software upgrade, so we could not bring any of them with us. With the copyright issues being what they are, we have moved away from having Universal character themes for the time being. I'm not saying we'll never have them again, and nobody told us that we can't have them, but we don't want to invite trouble.

No, there haven't been any for the UMA. And we're not gonna do anything that would cause them, either.

That is a shame about the other various themes. They were enjoyable. What would be the chance of using some non Universal images such as the Aurora model ones or some other form of artwork for the themes?
