BuzzFeed News has confirmed that all three "sistahs" are ready to hop back on their brooms should Disney greenlight the project! (http://www.buzzfeed.com/jarettwieselman/bette-midler-wants-to-make-a-hocus-pocus-sequel?post_id=1277754871_10202762707850287&s=mobile#_=_)
But, does anybody want them to make a "Hocus Pocus" sequel?
Actually, it's one of the most popular Halloween family films. There were rumors of a sequel earlier this year, "Hocus Pocus: Rise of the Elder Witch", that would have been made without Milder, Parker, and Najimy. Although a flop upon its original release in 1993, "Hocus Pocus" has become very popular through annual TV airings at Halloween on ABC Family Channel.

I want them to make an entertaining sequel. One bad thing about the original doing poorly at the box office, was Disney didn't do a Haunted Mansion film at that time. Instead, we got stuck with the Eddie Murphy film years later.
If the original did poorly at the box office, why in the world would they want to make a sequel? It's not like the public has been screaming for one.

It's become very popular in recent years because of repeated airings at Halloween. Also, DVD sales have been very healthy. Midler, Parker, and Najimy get tons of fan mail from it.
It's a great family-friendly Halloween flick but I'm not sure about trying to recapture that magic with a sequel.
I think it would be better with the Sanderson sisters than without them. Maybe they could work in the "Elder Witch" angle and get another great cast member, like Angelica Houston, Cher, or Kathy Griffin.

or Melissa McCarthy. :P Of course, they could get hip, and have Keannu Reeves play a Sanderson siister in drag.
its kinda become a classic

That would be a dream come true for some of us here. Nicolas Cage in drag would also be a nice option.
Or John Travolta in drag and a fat suit!

It just keeps getting more desirable.
Wait, wait, wait -- I've got it! The perfect casting for the Elder Witch. Renee Zelwegger, in drag, as a woman!

Renee Zelwegger as a woman? Nah, too far-fetched.
Hocus Pocus 2 will be released for Halloween.

How are they gonna make 'em not look 30 years older?
I was excited about this film, unfortunately I watched the trailer. Another WOKE film. Thank you, Disney

Unfortunately, because the film failed, we never got the Haunted Mansion film I understand that they would have made.

For the love of Satan! I love stirring the pot. Are you actually upset at my opinion. That was rhetorical. I really do not care what anyone thinks. Disney is a total b.s. company/ corporation. Their recent release of Lightyear(2022) only proves Disney produces crap . I have enjoyed your response to my comment. It amused me. Have a great day.
Okay, so nothing then?
Got it. Just checking.

Well the sisters are woken up; maybe that's what he's talking about?

I don't even know what "woke" means. Sound like some of that "millennial" slang. ::)

"Woke" can mean anything from social awareness, racial inequality, sexism, LGBTQ+ representation. It's often used to insult "liberal agendas".

People need to stop making up stupid words. We already have plenty of good ones. Use them!
