How about a thread where members can post questions about the classic films and try to stump the other members just like the identify the photo thread?
I'll start this one off with an easy one:
What do Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee have in common besides being British and known for horror roles?
They were both in, umm, was it Corridors of Blood?
That's true and also in CURSE OF THE CRIMSON ALTAR..but that's not it..

So the answer has nothing to do with horror films (or films period?).
That they both got started as horror film icons by playing the Frankenstein Monster?
Apparently it has nothing to do with their horror roles.

That's part of the answer.

Actually, it does.
Okay, the answer: both Karloff and Lee played the Frankenstein Monster, Fu Manchu and Dr.Jekyll/Mr.Hyde.

Actually, it does.
Then what does ". . have in common
besides being British and known for horror roles?" mean? ;)
Sorry. Perhaps I should have worded it differently. Anyone want to go next?
This one requires a bit of thinking to be sure!

I compared the casts of 2 of those movies and couldn't find a common actor.
That's right. It's in the casting, but not one particular actor that's the common factor..think on a broader scale. In their casts, they do have a person in each one common with a larger theme..think franchise.
They were all in a Frankenstein movie! (Or maybe a Dracula movie.)
These are too hard for my little brain. I was thinking more along the lines of "What was the first movie to show a flushing toilet?" ;D

Other than some of Paul Naschy's werewolf films, it wasnt as prevalent as the other symbol that's missing here..

Lol, no. There's still something that is present in most werewolf films that you are missing in The Wolf Man..
Silver Bullets?

I hope it's not that, because they
did kill him with silver, even if it wasn't bullet shaped.

The lack of wolf-like pointed ears.
It's not silver bullets, it's not pointed ears...
Hint: when the transformation from man to werewolf is usually shown in classic horror movies, what is it that the viewer is usually shown first? It's usually a major part of the transformation and is never shown during Larry Talbot's(or Bela's) change into a werewolf..

In the Wolf Man they never show the full moon.

Exactly! And after all the mentioning of the moon in the poem recited constantly throughout the film, it never appears!
ok, after a hiatus, it's back!
