We've been covering the movie Matango this week on Monster Kid Radio, and tomorrow (8/15), we're announcing how a lucky listener can win an original Matango mini bust from sculptor Tom Biegler. I wanted to share with everyone here Part One of the Matango discussion here (Monster Kid Radio Episode #23) -

As well as some images of the mini bust you can win by listening to Episode #24 of Monster Kid Radio!

I always thought this was a really creepy film, not to mention being one of the precursors of what later would become the Cronenbergian body horror genre.
Indeed, one of Toho and director Ishiro Honda's finest films!
I ended up REALLY enjoying this movie, and was so glad my guest (sculptor Tom Biegler) on the podcast that week wanted to talk about it.
Matango has become one of my favorite first-for-me-movies of 2013!
The Matango Minibust (by Tom Bielger) contest was announced on Episode 24 of Monster Kid Radio, and we're accepting entries for the drawing through the end of the month. You can hear the complete rules near the end of the episode.

One of my favorite horrors from Japan's golden age of sci-fi/fantasy! I try to watch this at least once a year.
