Title: "Enter freely, and of your own will..."
Post by: Wich2 on October 18, 2008, 11:40:24 AM
...is what I hope I can say to an 8" Sideshow (color) DRAC soon!!!

C'mon, guys - anyone have one to trade? It's the only one I want that I missed!

Best,
-Craig W.

P.S.- Anyone noticing that these are not aging well? I just set mine around for All Hallow's, and I'm finding broken joints, etc...

Yep - many of my loose ones broke at the joints.  If I had a Drac, I'd send it to you because I got rid of all my loose ones just for that reason.

I know you have been looking for that Drac for a long time.  Have you been searching ebay?  What is your price range?

I might be mistaken, but I don't think a B&W 8-inch Sideshow Dracula exists.  Any one you find will be in color.

Your not going to find one cheap, so I would just bite the bullet and buy this.

Whoa, I didn't know that one went for so much.

Yeah, you could bite that bullet, or you could just search ebay for a few weeks and find a good deal like this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Dracula-and-Phantom-of-the-Opera-Sideshow-Series-5-Set_W0QQitemZ190256116972QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item190256116972&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A13%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Dracula-and-Phantom-of-the-Opera-Sideshow-Series-5-Set_W0QQitemZ190256116972QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item190256116972&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A13%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)

I see there are other carded Dracs that have finished in the $40 range.  I also see what appears to be a loose one for a couple of bucks.  So there are some good deals to be had on that figure if you look.

Save a search for "sideshow dracula" so you will receive an e-mail alert whenever one is listed.  You could make it more specific, like "sideshow 8" dracula," but then you risk missing one.

These are constantly on eBay and are extremely affordable. Like ray mentioned, with a little effort one can be had for cheap.

They are not that rare and pretty common, hang in there, you'll get one at a more affordable price.

Thanks, guys.

Yes, I do look at the 'bay - but trading fits my budget better. And is a lot more fun!

What are some items you have for trade?  List some suggestions, or post a picture of your stuff on display.  Someone might see something they like.

I set up my 8" SS Frankenstein monster and his arms broke at the elbow.  Don't remember if it happened when I originally opened him though.

I bought a "Creature from the Black Lagoon" figure (color) about a month or so ago.  It was still sealed in the original package.  I had great fun with it for a few hours, and then set it on my night stand, joining the robot from "Lost in Space".

Then, a week ago, on a whim I attempted to adjust the arms, and the both broke off at the elbow.  Luckily, I could still fit them back into place, and he looks as cool as ever.

Alas, this really sucks.

And I think the only real fix that would retain mobility, involves a lot o' dremelin' & screwin' (in a nice way, I mean.)
