There are usually a few UMA members haunting the halls of Wonderfest. Here's the thread to post your pics, tell your stories and show your haul of goodies.
So---did anyone of us with a camera go? I really need to live vicariously thru the photos of others at the moment. On account a' being on an extremely tight budget these days, lol.
I arrived Saturday at 3 p.m. I walked through the dealer rooms, talked to a few folks, then attended the Rondo ceremony. Afterward, I had dinner with some monster brothers and sisters. I might take in a bit of Tom Stockman's Super 8 show before I go to bed, but I'm feeling pretty tired.
I worked the show, but family responsibilities forced me to pass on the evening activities last night, but I did see the Drunken Severed Head, Miss Drac, Elizabeth and typhooforme (sitting with Sara Karloff!). It's a smaller show this year, but Dave Conover promises me that they will be pulling out all the stops for the 25th Anniversary show next year.
I know someone rented out an IMAX theater last night for a Wonderfest only screening of "Star Trek Into Darkness" at midnight. There was some cool stuff going on. There was a guy who brought a 3D printer, and I'd never seen one in person before, and he was printing out Creature from the Black Lagoon heads all day! I'm going to bring my camera with me today.
Here's typhoforme and Sara Karloff!

I was pretty jazzed that Polar Lights is going to reproduce the cardboard Marvel World Adventure Playset! I had that as a kid, and it was amazing.

Otherwise known aas Robert Taylor, star of MARK OF THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES. (He's going to kill me for that.)

Yikes! Will that movie haunt me forever!? Before I left W'fest today, I went to Brinke Stevens' table and had some laughs with her about "our" movie and our director, Ted V. Mikels--and shared the sobering memory that the shooting of that movie wrapped on 9/11. Seems long ago and at the same time, only yesterday. Brinke is still as sweet a lady as ever. Also talked to Lee Merriweather, still so beautiful and full of the joy of life.
I didn't leave the Karloff table very often and didn't take photos this time, sorry to say. I will share the only one I have at hand at the moment--me and Sara Karloff with UMA friend Larry (apesman is his moniker here). Notice the incredible Tony Cipriano Boris Karloff tribute bust at the lower right!
