So many topics here, it's hard to find where to post things. So, I've started this thread to post these color photos of the Addams Family and the Munsters from TV Guide and a local Boston Sunday newspaper TV Guide-like magazine.

Wow, those are great! Who ever imagined the Addams' house was so colorful! Wish there was Munsters interiors, too.
Cool photos.
Very cool photos! I really dig those interior colors of the Addam's family house.

There's Monster Bob's bear in the first pic.
Very cool pics. Thanks for posting. There are more color interiors of the Addams family house on the View-Master reels,
too, if anyone has them.
...and one more.

Those Addams Family set pics are FANTASTIC! We original viewers of this show are so programmed to think of this show in black & white...How great to see what it really looked like!
I like the way you added "Lisa Loring" and the word "monster" between "TV" and "Guide" with a typewriter all those years ago.
Cool stuff! As others have said it's cool to see the Addams set in color!
Love those Addams Family pics,I wonder if any more exist? I sometimes try and imagine old black and white films in colour, trying to see what the actual actors would of seen in real life.
To the best of my recollection, those are all the photos that illustrated the TV Guide article. But maybe someone out there has the entire article, rather than just the photos, which would tell us for sure.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Thanks for posting these cool pics.

I found PhenQ here (https://www.muscleandfitness.com/supplements/phenq-review/) and was thinking the exact same thing. Thanks for posting these cool pics.
It's so strange to see my old favorite show, the Adams Family set in color. Imagine how different this show would have felt if it was filmed in color and not black and white.
Just to let those know who might be interested, I understand the interior of the Addams family home was a reuse of the set of Molly Brown's house from the "Unsinkable Molly Brown"(1964).
Welcome to the UMA, Wayward Son!
Addams Family just wouldn't have looked right in color.
Carry on!

Interesting! I did an image search but couldn't find anything.

Colour pictures are more realistic but black and white adds a touch of spooky feel that color can't match.
Welcome to the UMA, Chrissie5 !
If there's one thing for which you can give Universal credit, it's for not colorizing their horror films.

The Ballroom was probaably what they reused. Certainly spacious enough. No doubt some changes were made in adapting the set from the Debbie Reynolds film, for the Addams family series. As far as the Munster's are concerned, the early part of the film takes place at 1313 Mockingbird lane, and that may be the only time the original set was shown in color. I also need to look at the pilot that was filmed in color.
Very cool photos! I really dig those interior colors of the Addam's family house.
Welcome to the UMA, LedaBunny ! :)
I'm a newbie here and I can't wait to know more from you guys.

Looks like an old thread. Was there something new you wanted to add to it?
