I received a phone call earlier in the week from our good friend Danny Roebuck, he was in Iowa shooting a film and said he could drive north to Minneapolis for a short visit to Castle Famous (my abode) before catching his flight back to L.A. A quick call was made to fellow UMA members Richard Olson and Packy Paul Koloc, inviting them to partake in a short monster gathering. Needless to say, they were as excited as I was - and the party was on! Danny arrived yesterday late in the afternoon as did my other Minnesota monster brothers. Unfortunately, Danny was feeling under the weather, and was battling cold and flu symptoms, but that didn't stop the party. We sat around and geeked out in the monster room for a while, before heading to Fuddrucker's for a hamburger and a beer. Then it was monster hugs in the parking lot saying goodbye to Richard (Paul couldn't join us for dinner). A quick stop to Walgreen's was made to pick up some cold and flu medicine for Danny, and then it was off to the airport for Danny's departure back to L.A. A lot of monster love in a very short time. Let's just call this a "quickie." And yes, it felt great!

Awesome photo. ;D
Poor Paul. Was he standing behind Richard when the photo was taken? ;)
Glad that you guys were able to make this happen. Hope you beat your "bug" Dan.

Unfortunately, the pic was taken after Paul had already left. He had a previous appointment and had to leave early.

Awesome pic General! If I ever get out that way, I'd love to see the Castle! I just saw Danny this past weekend. What a great guy!

Brian, I'd love for you to visit. Anytime my friend, anytime!
Terry thanks again for the hospitality, I love our visits. Sorry I did have to run but I wouldn't have for anything but my wee Lassie. Dan and Richard thanks for making my night!

Awesome! I'm Jell-o-us! Great pic! (You should Photoshop Paul I there.)
Anybody think Terry looks like Stan Winston?

Awesome gathering. That rates up there with the allied meeting at Potsdam for Monster-coolness.

Probably more like Moose and Squirrel meeting at Potsylvania.
That too has been done:

What a great meeting of Monster minds! Your picture says it all- SMILES & MONSTERS - it's all we need .......and friends :)
Your castle is full of so many wonderful treasures! It sounds like you had a perfect get together with your royal subjects. Thanks for sharing your smiling faces.
Always good to see monster brethren gathered together!
And yeah, Terry does look quite a bit like the late great Stan Winston....hmmm....
It is true that I came by sick, hopefully Terry swabbed the entire place down after I left.
I will tell you this, there is no greater component of collecting monster toys then the friends I have gained throughout.
It was such a treat to see our General in his beautiful home surrounded by his beautiful wife and gracious sons. And Richard, well, if any of you have been on the receiving end of this dudes hugs, you know there is so much love.
I could have stayed forever.
sounds fun
It's always so cool when Jupiter aligns with Mars and monster buddies can get together!
