Coolest thing I've seen all year! Thanks to David at my 50s sci-fi group fo the link!

This is beautiful - Jonny Quest was one of the best cartoons ever
The original voice of Race Bannon, Mike Road, was born and raised in a city that's five miles away from me.
It's unfortunate that Jonny Quest had only about 25 or so episodes made. I believe that it was actually originally an evening show on ABC back in the day.
I've got to keep this- it's simply great!

Probably was, just like The Flintstones and The Jetsons.
Yes, Mike. The Flintstones was the first 'toon to be showed in prime time back in the 1960's.
Easily the best theme music for a cartoon ever.

Oh Wow....thanks for sharing this! I was super hyped up- the minute I heard the opening notes of that incredible theme song!
My whole family loves JQ. It's such a great adventure show for all ages. That is some smooth stop motion! The croc slithering into the water was perfect! Ahhhh! This really made my evening....not to mention the fact that I've always had a major crush on Race! He looks like a dream boat! :)
I've been watching Jonny Quest on Boomerang (5:00 pm est weekdays) the past few weeks-

I cannot agree more! I was awestruck by it when I was a kid, and I still am. Funny coincidence that (at least right now), the thread for favorite TV theme song is right below this thread.
THAT is an awesome video, and the website describes prefectly how i felt about the show.
JQ is probably one of the top five animated series of all time. I'm actually a bit surprised that this show hasn't been made into a movie.
Can never tire of watching Jonny Quest.
I wish I wasn't old enough to remember this, but Jonny Quest did indeed premiere as a prime time show. It was in the fall of 1964 (I was in the 6th grade) and was broadcast on ABC. I think The Jetsons also premiered that fall, again on ABC. Or was it in 1962? We watched that, too. I seem to recall The Jetsons being on Sunday nights. The Flintstones were on Friday night, too. I associate it with the long-forgotten "International Showtime," hosted by Don Ameche. Were they both on NBC, back to back?
Anybody watch "The Venture Bros."? I just bought season 1-4 on DVD. I think it's the best show on Cartoon Network.
I loved that show! They just dont make them like that anymore.
WOW was that cool! Awesome job! Won't soon forget this video.
That is AWESOME, makes me want to watch some JQ, I think it had the best opening theme music for any show of the time. Well done on the video!
Wow, that was something! This should be aired on Boomerang! They really need some new little shorts like this, and this is better than their Jonny board game short (although it's pretty neat too).
Chris
Love to see then do THE JETSONS opening, too!
