OK, I could no longer resist and took the 45 minute drive required to reach the nearest Hot Topic store. They had just received their shipment of Creature buckles and hadn't even put them out yet. [Frankenstein was already out on display] Of course, nobody there knew what the Creature looked liked, which slowed the search a bit, but eventually they were discovered in a drawer of items to be put in the display case. I'm very pleased with them, especially considering the glaring absence of anything else Universal related this Halloween. I grabbed a few Creetch and one Franky buckle. I want to have Ricou Browning sign them at the upcoming Chiller show in NJ. Here are some pics...

I have never been in a Hot Topic store before, but after seeing this post I shall. Many thanks fear Gasport, for sharing these treasures. It's off to the - gasp - Mall for me. The Frankenstein is a must have, but I hope to obtain both.

I feel your pain...no one detests shopping malls more than myself. I think you'll find the payoff worth it, though. Do what i did and call ahead before subjecting yourself to the mall experience for possibly no reason. They have a store locater at the Hot Topic website with phone numbers. The store i went to only had about 5 or so of each buckle, so i doubt they'll be around for very long. Since they have a Universal license it will be interesting to see if they produce anything else. [There were no T-Shirts at the one i went to] GOOD LUCK!

How much were the buckles??? Maybe it's finally time to break down and purchase a belt and a cool monster buckle. I'm tired of this length of threadbare rope knotted about my midriff.
The buckles were 22 bucks a pop. By all means, the PERFECT fashion accessory to compliment that length of threadbare rope you're wearing! While i'm at it, i recall someone mentioning a Wolf Man buckle also available at HT....I didn't see any of those at the store i visited today. Would love to see what one looks like.
Stopped in one today.Also no t shirts,but they did have Creature,Frank and Wolfie.Big ones aint they.Didnt get one cause they were about to close so I'll go again.

I ended up spending almost 100 bucks on Uni monster buckles today which [considering how tight money is] naturally made me feel urpy, but on the other hand, i have spent almost nothing on all the other generic Halloween CRAP i've encountered in stores so far this season. I feel as though the only way we can ever hope to start seeing Universal merchandise on store shelves again is to get out there and support what little we do see available. Even the Hot Topic employees were surprised at how much i was dropping on these things..."You want HOW many?" I'm thankful now that i held off on some impulse buys i almost made in recent weeks and instead had the money on hand for this. [ i'm also thankful that my wife completely supports my mania] Happy to share this info with my friends. Now, SOMEBODY PLEASE show me a Wolf Man buckle!!

Good to hear everyone felt inspired enough to go out and support these unusual items! It was my pleasure to post the close-up pics... That Mummy buckle sounds interesting and i certainly will stop by your table at Chiller to check it out. To Madcow, I live on eastern Long Island. It's almost a 3 hour drive for us to get to Chiller since they recently changed hotels. My main reason for going is to spend time with Zacherley. I think i've missed maybe 3 shows since it started as Horrorthon back in 1990. I see they just added Barbara Steele to the guest list. She was at a previous show during the early 90's and was NOT having fun....hopefully she's cheered up since then.

I landed a Creech and a Frankie today. Both were the last ones left. I passed on the Wolf Man. I didn't think it captured Chaney or the Wolf Man character all that well, and for $22.00, I'd expect him to look just as good as Karloff and the Creature did. They didn't have the shirts, but said that they might get them in. The store closest to me didn't have any of this stuff. I had to go to the one way on the other side of town. Hopefully "my" store (as if I can really call this place mine :P) will get something. I really want a Dracula and Creature shirt, but I don't want to buy them online. I want to see them so I know they'll fit and won't be too big. Hopefully one of the stores in my city will get them.
I'm sorry to hear people are passing on the Wolf Man version. It looks pretty good in the posted photo. Hopefully i'll find one at Chiller later this month and see for myself. I'm anxious to check out the Karloff Mummy buckle. Wonder why HT doesn't carry these?

The Wolf Man just didn't do it for me. He just looked off for some reason. Maybe it's just me.

Those are some BIG holes you'd need in your ears to accommodate plugs that size... Then again, the girl who waited on me at Hot Topic had so many piercings on her, she must whistle when the wind blows. I'm waiting for the large Universal Monster Ubangi lip plate myself.

Got my Hot Topic t-shirts yesterday -- they're great! I'm wearing Lugosi today. It has an extra little "Lugosi Enterprises" graphic on the back. Frankie and Creech don't have any corresponding extra image.
I think I'll wear Frankie and Creech over the weekend while I'm a guest at "FallCon," the local comic book show.

I went to Hot Topic stores 3 times and they didn't have any shirts. Their suggestion was to just order it online, which I did... I ordered (and received) the glow frankenstein shirt. It's really flippin' sweet. I'll try to post a pic later.
The Creature buckle is the most uncomfortable thing to wear, except for my Cruel Shoes.
