Title: THE MUMMY - movie items excist ?
Post by: TheWolfman on January 03, 2013, 12:44:38 PM
I just wanted to post a question about the Mummy movies. Can anyone verifiy if anything from the classic Mummy movies still excist today? I'am specificly wondering about certain items like the Mummy's ring, the infamous medallion, the rolled up "curse" or any of the mummy costume, the suit itself, or any of the wrappings?

Over the weekend, I was digging through my storage loft and found an old dusty box
labeled "Mummy Props". There were only four items inside: a scarab, an amulet ...

... what looks to be an actual sheet of ancient papyrus ...

... and a mysterious scroll >

If you recognize any of these props from a movie, let us know.

For now I'm going to try and find someone who can translate these glyphs for me,
although ... maybe it's better not to know ...

At least, don't read it out loud!

There's an original urn from the 1932 movie that sold on Heritage around 10-15 years ago. Wish I had it next to my lifesize figure.

In answer to the original question, both Bob Burns and FJA have claimed ownership
of Mummy artifacts but whether or not they were ever screen-used is debatable.
