WTF are they talking about, "it would've been impossible" to film it in 3D originally? They could've easily filmed it in 3D! Cheaply, no, but considering it earned $914 million, the added expense would have still paid off.
If this is a hit, how soon can we expect "Jaws: The Original in 3D"? Tod Browning's "Dracula" in 3D? "Frankenstein" 3D? Put 2010's "The Wolfman" through the magic ViewMaster machine, re-release it, and watch it become a hit this time! Ad nauseum!
2D to 3D conversion didn't start with Jurassic Park 3D nor will it end with it! Jo is really into Dinosaurs and so is my mom so I'll definitely be taking them to this, I've heard the conversion is pretty good!
Oh yeah! I remember taking my son to see J.P. on the big screen when he was in 4th grade, and I think it will be a hoot to take my grandson to see the same movie, especially since he's about the same age his dad was. :) I can't get enough of these older movies coming back to the big screen. We have a 32" tv, so we appreciate the big ol' theater screen!
