Title: Not so vintage famous monsters binders?
Post by: ilikemonsters on August 30, 2012, 12:52:55 AM
I wasn't sure if this is where I should post these, or if there is already a topic about them.
I guess they are from the 90's ? These are the three I have I'm guessing there are others ?
Any info?
Eric

I think those are the only three they made. And yes, they are from the Ferry years.

Thanks.
So i have the whole set. That's cool. I thought that Dracula might have been left out cuz of all that Lugosi business (shame)
But, I was hoping for a Creature or The Mummy!

Since no one else said it . . .

The Wolfman is a swipe of the Aurora art (flipped).

The Phantom is a swipe from the '60s Phantom wallet art.

And the Frank binder swipes both the Phantom wallet background and the Aurora Frank figure.

Oh yeah, these and the wallets and were a photoshop hodgepodge of monster material. The Creature wallet used a Neal Adams face!

That creech wallet is pretty funky, kept me from buying one.
But hodge podge or not these are still cooler than a Hello Kitty Binder,
unless you're really into Hello Kitty!

And that's why they look so cool! Much better than the binders that came out in the sixties with the Hasbro Paint by Number set artwork.

These are they:

The wallets came out around or at the same time (and didn't always come packaged). These are all products produced during Ferry's time of ownership of FM.
