Title: Legend of the Brass Marx Wolfman
Post by: hhwolfman on December 08, 2007, 12:26:48 AM
Ok I have no idea if this is true, but this is how the story goes. A real good friend of mine in town, Was Larping one evening.  (Live action Role Playing, you know Knights Dwarfs etc. ) He did someone there a big favor. Later on another weekend of Larping.  A month or so later this guy was talking to my buddy and showed him this Wolfman. Said he had the rights from Universal to Make these Brass Wolfmans. As you can tell it is the Marx Wolfman. Any way he kept trying to make em and the molds would brake. Only pulled like 3 or 4 and then Just gave up. I have no Idea if he has any more. My buddy hasn't seen him since. My buddy told him, Man I know who would love that. He said here you can have it. So then it was brought to me and given to me as a gift. It is cool no matter what. It is very heavy and made of Brass.  Now for your viewing pleasure The Brass Wolfman. HHW

Hi  HH,
A set of UM like that would be great for a UM Monopoly game or chess set.

Very nice, and thanks for sharing the pic! Wish I had a whole brass Marx monster set.

Reminds me of a limerick, which I'll adapt and share:

A werewolf who hailed from Madras
Had testicles made out of brass.
He banged together
to play "Stormy Weather"
and lightning shot out of his __s!

A Seller on eBay was making the little Marxies in what he called "Bronze".  I got a Frankenstein from him.

No, I don't remember his name - it was quite a while ago.

I've got a way cool brass sculpture of a guy holding a ball in his right hand. He's kinda bent over and looks like he is about to toss this ball. It's mounted on a small slab of marble and has a plaque affixed to it stating, "Willard Hughes -- High Scratch Series".  I don't think this was ever advertised in Famous Monsters....
