Don't know if this has ever been brought up before, but does anybody know what happened to horror-wood.com? I used to really look forward to each new month, then it just stopped. Had some great articles. Thank God & Monsters that I stumbled upon the UMA to rejuvenate & reanimate this ol' carcass.
Anyway, I'd sincerely appreciate any info that would satisfy my curiosity concerning HW's demise.
Thanks for your time.

What happened was the demise of the owner/editor of Horror-Wood (Joe Meadows), two years ago.
I can't believe it has been 2 years already of the passing of Joe (Renfield) Meadows. I was saddened when I first heard the news. He gave me the very first link to my siite when I first started it 9 years ago. He worked it out with me to add the link on September 1st which is when I first opened it. Horror-Wood had a lot of interesting articles plus one of the largest links sections around. I haven't tried to go there since I got news of his death, so I don't know if it even still out there but I have left the Horror-Wood link on my site in memory of Joe.
Thanks so much for answering my question... I think. That's pretty damn sad. I talked to Joe a couple of times through emails and he seemed to be a very cool guy. I guess I should'ave researched his whereabouts myself instead of bringing up sad memories here. I'm sorry about that. I still go through the archives occasionally, and now, it will be in his honor.
Thanks again, and here's to the memory of Joe Meadows.
Joe was a good guy, by all report. He gave this amateur scribbler a warm welcome--I believe my interview with Frank Dietz was the first one Frank had every given. Joe kindly gave it space at Horror-Wood and made me feel veyr welcome indeed. I believe past issues have been preserved on the 'Net, or files of past articles, anyhow.
Joe was top notch.
He actually posted the VERY FIRST online article about Professor Griffin back when all I had was a costume and a dream.
I've written several essays for him to post...and he was ALWAYS supportive of me and my career.
A good man.
Thank you for bringing this up. It has given me pause to stop and remember this outstanding man.
Something I should do more often.
