Title: Awesome September monster movie event!
Post by: Barlow on August 30, 2008, 01:10:58 AM
Wow, I wish I could attend this! But the drive from Chicago into Pennsylvania is prohibitive right now. Argh!

Look at the line-up for Saturday!

I know what Barlow means. I usually like to go to the MONSTER BASH in Pennsylvania, but gas prices kept me home this year. I bet a lot of events are suffering because of this.

Yeah, the gas prices are killer! We're talking about a good $175 for gas. Plus an 8 hr drive each way. And a hotel stay for the night because no way could I drive 8 hr, sit through 4 movies, then drive another 8 hours. Admission is just $10, but it'd cost me over $200 to go! Yikes!

Wish they had an event like this close by!

I would love to go to something like this but the drive is too much for me.

Damn I wish I could go to this, I remember mom taking me and my brother to the Sat. Nite Horror Fest every weekend at the local Drive-In. But this is way to many states away, the gas would kill me. Man, I really miss Drive-In movies. In some ways being a kid in the 20th century is better than adulthood in the 21st. This looks like a killer line-up too, damn.
