Oh good lord.. I happened to be browsing Ramblers on Ebay, to find out what theyre " goin for" , as I just got him
out of storage and am going to be using him as a regular daily driver soon, & need to "up" the insurance on him. .
Then, I saw " this " . . . Can you imagine this car , next to Larry???. . I NEED this car. I really do !!
Tell me how I need it and its the perfect girl for Larry and stuff. .
( basically help me justify the purchase. . hahaha .. the price is a bit steep )

btw.. whats weird ( for me especially ) , is that I normally only like old cars in the orginal state. . i dont like when people change stuff on them and "ruin"
them... like Larry is ALL original, and I love old cars that way.. but for some reason the pink-ness is clouding my senses...
If an American Rambler is anything like a Nash Rambler, it's too bad they changed the engine. I understand they could out perform a Cadillac when stuck in second gear! Beep beep.
Sweet!

Ha! My grandfather used to sing that song when I was a kid..."his horn wen't beep beep beep!"
WOW! She's a groovy looking chick! I had a '61 Rambler and a '66 back in the 70's. Loved those cars - and they were built like little tanks!
Alright, I admit, you'd probably look "okay" in it - ;D
Go ahead and treat yourself to a pink Laurette, after all if the King could have his pink Cadillac why can't the Queen have her's as well.
Larry deserves a bad ass bride like her. >:D
that is a sweet car ,even tho it is pink :)
or why not a pink hearse?

Cool wheels .. Good Luck!
Btw ~ I thought that this thread was going to be about Larry Fine (R.I.P.) getting married and I was confused .. :o
Hey, if you can get it for a good deal..... Why not if its what you really want. I am still trying to get a blacked out hard top 67 Chevelle ss to go with my 81 malibu and Dakota r/t. I am not buying a new car ever again.
Pretty nice ride!
While I prefer showroom quality restorations, this one is pretty danged good.
From the custom work, it is a '60 rambler in outward appearance only. New engine, tranny, suspension, gauges, interior. That's OK. It will be more reliable than an original '60 with 30K+ miles.
Like the look, and I'll bet it will beat any Little Old Ladies down there in Pasadena! 8)
I like the AC too! That has to be a modernization--I'm pretty sure the original had 4-60 AC.
The asking price is pretty high, and I'd really want to see and drive it first. But that's just me . . . ::)
Unless I know who put the custom together, other people's street rods can be risky. I had a 1956 Ford F-100, which had had it's original engine and tranny replaced with a 302 and automatic, I'm guessing from a Mustang. A couple of times, if you slammed the hood shut, the car would go into reverse. One time, it hit a tree. Another time, it happened in the middle of I-15 in So Ca. Fortunately, the median was wide enough, I was able to catch up to the car, and shut it off. I'll stick with stock.
