I've been working on this one for the past week...finally got the base done and thought I'd post some pics of how it's coming along. I tried to make the theater scene somewhat muted and dirty for a few reasons. The first is it's a small town in the middle of the desert. The other is that I don't want it to be bright and garish to the point it takes away from the figure which will be the focal point of the kit.
Let me know what you think.

Masterful! That is some damn talent you have there, Lee - it looks awesome and can't wait (though I will) to see the finished product!
That's beautiful! It looks perfect.
Hey Lee,
That looks great! Nice work, and can't wait to see the figure up against all that detail you put into it.

Thanks for the comments guys! Here is another in progress pic of the figure. I still have to do an ivory stain to give the clothing a bit of depth as well as the reddish highlights to the hair. I'm not particularly happy with the look of the face...I'm not sure if that's the sculpt or my lack of skills. I loved the movie and as beautiful a woman as Allison Hayes was, there was not one minute of that movie when she didn't look ticked right off. I think this kit makes her character look like a stoner looking for a sandwich. Any advice to get her looking a little more intense?

Love it!
Thanks Mark...I just finished it a few minutes ago and it actually turned out pretty nice. I tried taking pics but I just can't get them to look right unless I take them in daylight so they'll have to wait until the morning.
You especially will like what I have on deck for my next kit! ;)
Here are a few pics of the completed piece:

Tried outlining the eyes...she doesn't quite look as "vacant" now:

Great job! Your model is the perfect celebration of 50's science fiction. Thanks for posting this.
