My wife and I celebrated Valentines Day today. We did it 2 weeks later because of her mom passing. I was shocked when she presented me with this. There is a indoor fleas market that my friend went into and found some monster stuff. I went in before and got a licensed Universal Wolfman mask with the tags on it and I saw this Frankenstein standing there. It had a price tag of $275.00 but my wife got it today for $200.00. She found out there was a collector in the area who passed away and his wife was selling stuff off. A sad way to get a Universal collectable but I hope he know that it went to someone who appreciates as much as he did. He oculdn't get more of a fan than Universal Steve for his stuff. I will keep checking what she brings in now and see what else she has. Now down to business. I have only seen one of these before on EBay and it went for about $500.00. I am looking for some info on it. It is not for sale, I just like to know what I have and this thing must be rare because I have only seen it once a long time ago on EBay and never again. It is almost 6' tall and 4' wide. I have a Illusive Concepts Frankenstein busting through a wall that is the centerpiece of my Universal room and this has the same construction as that. It is a large rubber sculpture that is stretched over a wooden frame. There are no markings anywhere. The likeness is dead on Karloff so it must be licensed. Anyone have any info?

Well I have one of these also. Bought mine at Spencer Gifts about 10 Years ago paid $300.00 for it other than the Price, mine had no tags on it. They only had one and I had them hold it for a day as the next day was payday. Wish I could tell you more than this.
One thing tho. the latex is as supple as it was the day I bought, so it is made from good latex.

Thanks. That's good to know. My Frankenstein crashing through the wall was bought at Spensers and is the same construction with latex rubber. I can assume that it is a Illusive Concepts from 1991. It had a tag on it which is still on it. Your story about how you got yours is almost the same story as how I got my wall crasher. Small world.]
Man, that's a beaut! Congrats on the great score, and great wife! :)
