My condolences, Harry.  Sorry to hear of your dad's passing.  91 years is a good long life -- and most any of us would be lucky to get that much time here on planet Earth.

My new grandson was born the same night -- the world does keep turning....

My most sincere sympathies to you, Harry. Mourn at your own pace.

My Father died 6 years ago--I miss him but he's never far from my thoughts and I quote him frequently. Last week I found a copy of his obituary that my cousin had sent me from the Reading Eagle and I had to laugh when I read that my father was considered a Korean War vet---he was stationed in Germany, where he met my Mum, but he did a damned fine job of keeping the North Koreans out of Germany with his Tow Target Squadron.

So sorry Harry, Never an easy thing to deal with at any age. Take comfort in knowing you were doing something he wanted you to do. Very cool and rare that he shared your love of monsters. Something my dad never shared with me, yet he never denied me the latest issue of Famous Monsters during our weekly trips to the stationery store to pick up the Sunday papers. Guess he was backing me up in his own way. Condolences from Long Island,
                                                                                                                   Mike G

Harry didn't mention this, but I believe his dad was at Pearl Harbor during WWII--there were not many of them left, and the list is shorter by one more hero now.

Glad you went on to the cook-out, Harry.  It's the way it was meant to be.

Your W-fest pal,
Robert

I had the pleasure of your company at last year's Wonderfest, and your father sure shaped you into a kind, warm and amusing man. He must have had some great qualities to turn out a son like yourself.

Condolences from Jane and I; we were sure sorry to hear of your loss.

"To die... to be really dead... that must be glorious... there are far worse things awaiting man than death."

So I figure, he's doing MUCH better now than he ever did before. God bless you Harry, the loss is so very hard but I'm glad you forged ahead with the fest; life IS for the living, and seeing as your dear ol' dad made it to 91, I'd say living is something your line does rather well.
