Any American Horror fans out there? There are some really disturbing elements for me, and they keep upping the level each week. Even the music(?) in the beginning unsettles me, but I have to watch it!
I think it's a great show, quite disturbing, especially for not being on HBO or showtime. Which I cthink helps it stand on it's own. Not relying on nudity or bad language to help carry it. And Jessica Lange is absolutely perfect in it. It's still a bit controversial at times and disturbing. So it's not for the easily offended. But I love it.
I've never seen or heard of it until now-what's it about?
Its about a house that is evil and anyone who dies there is stuck there haunting it, and all the people who have lived there have went crazy and died in some horrific way. A already troubled family moves in (cheating husband, troubled teenage girl, and distrought wife) and the wife ends up pregnant with twins,(Major plot) they soon find out the house is called the murder house and even has a hollywood style bus tour that is the Grand finale of the tour. This last episode they tied in the Black Dahlia Murder into it. I feel it is very well written and has excellent actors! I highly recommend it, its set to record on my dvr. new episodes are on the FX channel on wednesdays. I am not sure if they have been replaying them or not. but you can get on the fx.com american horror story page and find out for sure. I hope you can watch it starting with the first episode otherwise you may be a bit confused. You have to at least give it a shot, I think you will enjoy it.
We have tried watching this a few times and just not digging it. Every episode is "ok" for a part of it and then it just gets plain boring. I'd rather watch a semi-fake show like Paranormal State. At least that is somewhat entertaining.
I like it. I think it's a pretty good show.

I'm diggin' it so far but I'm currently 2 weeks behind on watching it, just hope it keeps my interest.

They threw everything and the kitchen sink in the last episode!!
My wife & nieces love it, but I just can't get into it.
American Horror Story continues to draw rave reviews in the newspaper. Anyone here watch it on a regular basis?

We walked away from it, as we're not fans of kid-oriented Horror, and we were seeing too much of that

I watched and loved it.There are shocking events in the series but it's a good show. My only complaint is maybe the way the first season ended and to find out this season is about a all new place. Other than that good stuff.

I think a seasonal anthology show is an excellent concept, can't wait to check out the new one!

I agree. This way it's like a new horror TV show every season. Let's not forget, ideas that might not get greenlit as shows or movies on their own could turn up here.
I really, really liked the Season 2 opener!! (except for that Maroon 5 guy at the beginning of the show- lame!)
Love it,...Jessica Lange is the new Queen of Psycho Horror! Was happy to see Adam Levine get his arm ripped off...wish they stuck it in his mouth so i don't have to listen to him sing anymore.
I have had "Dominique" (the singing nun song) stuck in my head for two days thanks to this show! It's not a bad show.
Great show, super disturbing.
It's so interesting to see Jessica Lange in a different role on the show! I love the way her accent, mannerisms and facial expressions are so different this season! She is such a great actress! I really feel like this is her new calling! I love her in this type of show. I guess she's done horror movies before- I remember that movie "Hush", but I just adore her on this creepy show :) And the young man actor that's in the asylum is so talented too- oh yeah, and I also think Chloe Sevigny (probably spelled wrong), is perfect for this season.
Ahhhh! I am so excited about finally having a tv show to watch, that isn't animated or involve cupcakes!! Yay!

;D
Let's see, alien abduction, serial killers, a mad doctor who creates frankenstenian monsters, eroticism, and the supernatural what could be better? I think it is a great show, very creepy.

"TV Line reports Bates has come aboard the third season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY as what will amount to being Jessica Lange's nemesis. This run has already been described as femme-centric, "historical in nature," taking place in different cities and starring Lange as a "glamour cat leading lady" (something I've always wanted to be and which hopefully means a ton of glittery sweaters). Bates is the first bit of new blood to be announced and is, of course, iconic for her portrayal of Annie Wilkes in MISERY."
Season 3 rumored to be witchcraft and voodoo!?

Could this season be gearing up to be an homage to Grande Dame Guignol!?
I stopped watching after season 1. Didn't like where the writers took the show. Another attempt at Hollywoods mockery of religion.

It was a great season but the finale was rather humdrum, all that build up to it and it went nowhere!
