Title: Star Trek 2 -May 17, 2013
Post by: Moonshadow on November 26, 2011, 11:26:11 AM
Looks like we finally have a release date for the next Star Trek film - May 17, 2013. 2013?? They have really been dragging their feet on this. The first one opened so well and they had a lot of momentum. I can't help but feel they've squandered that momentum, by letting it take 4 years to do the second one. But I'm glad there is some sort of plan being constructed. Not excited at all about the 3D aspect, nor by the possibility of Benicio del Toro being in the film - I think he's highly over-rated. My fear is he'll be the new Khan! :o

Three-Dee?!?!?!

I'm out.

I could be the greatest movie ever made, and if its in 3-D, I won't be there.
Headaches and eyestrain aside, every 3-D movie has sacrificed story for pop-up-book effects.
And that includes Dances With Aliens AKA Avatar.

Never saw it until it came out on DVD.  It was OK.

But the fact it had been in 3D explains a lot of the overly long zooming swooping scenes.  I thought it was just Kenneth Branagh having too big a budget and not wanting to spend it on acting lessons for Chris Hemsworth. ::)
