Ok, it's over 6 months away, but the Bash will have Arch Hall Jr. as a guest! How terrific is that? He and Richard Kiel will be there for an Eegah reunion. I met Richard back on 2007, but now's my chance to meet Arch! Wowee-wow-wow!! ;D
Man, Arch Hall Jr!! That would definitely be a cool autograph to get!
And if all goes accordingly, Arch will be playing with the Bash Boys!
Awesome!! Something fresh.
Man, if I have to crawl I'm going to that Bash! Meeting Martine Beswick is going to be great, too! rowr! ;)
Bert I. Gordon will also be there and I picked up a movie poster on Ebay for NECROMANCY a movie he directed staring Orson Wells. Can't wait to get that autograph.
Bert I. Gordon!! MAN I would love to meet him and get an autograph!
Burt I. is a wonderful guest. He has lots of great stories about his movies, hanging out of a helicopter to film and stuff like that. -- Bob P.
I've had a chance to talk with Bert a couple of times at the Bash and he's a joy to speak with; lots of great stories about his film-making experiences. My only regret is that he didn't know what became of the giant hypodermic needle prop from Amazing Colossal Man....i'd have loved to have that in my living room! Great for greeting door-to-door salesmen too! ;)
Just got my Monster Bash 2011 docu-DVD. Great memories, fun interview clips, but unfortunately also featuring the Lonster's singing! I guess nothing's perfect.... ;)
Well, I'm working on that singing (I know -- work HARDER! LOL). The 2011 Bash disc is lot of fun. Charles H. does a fantastic job!

I agree, it's thoroughly enjoyable, and a great introduction to the Bash for anyone who hasn't been there yet
Just looked at the proposed line-up for June's convention! There are usually a few changes before the convention starts, but it already looks like a great line-up, now including Gregg Palmer from The Creature walks Among Us and From Hell It Came! Oh, yeah, he also worked with John Wayne, and according to Wikipedia, failed to get the role of "Lil' Abner" for a proposed TV series. The actress who failed to get the Daisy Mae role? Marylin Monroe! Can't wait to hear what he has to say!
Plus, there's wall-to-wall dinosaur movies! How great is that?
Bash is just over a month away!! I've been so busy lately the time has flown by. but now it's definitely Bash season. Got the get the old buggy tuned up and ready for the butt-breaking three-day drive to Butler! Mmmmm, I can taste those rest-stop hot dogs already! Cruising the interstates, listening to the Beatles, ELO, The Guess Who, the Spinners, and the Steve Miller Band, singing them poorly at the top of my lungs. Killing time at the Menards across from the Super 8 in Minneapolis (you can "save big money at Menards"). Haunting the cheese and bratwurst superstores in Wisonsin. Listening to the great Spanish-language radio stations through Chicago. Sleeping through northern Indiana (sorry Indiana, but that stretch is very, um, relaxing). Crusiing past Cleveland and wondering if I should stop at the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame on the way back. Curving into Pennsylvaina and cranking up the classic horror movie soundtracks as I approach Butler! There it is, the Days Inn!!
Home again! :)
Been rummaging around to find stuff for Bob's Bin of Bargains. And I've been practicing this year's Bash Boys line-up -- and the Bash Boys will be playing with Arch Hall Friday night.
Team Bash will be doing some last-minute details at the hotel today.
Fasten your seat belts. Next stop: BASH.

I'm hoping to have some funds for Monster Bash this year. I've never been to a horror con and have been trying to go for like the last 8 years. But something always comes up...

If you can this is the one to go to, especially if your focus is on the classic horror. Always great times, fun surprises, and Bob's Bargain Bin!!!!! I too have snagged some goodies there!
THANK YOU! Always appreciate the business. It pays for my "resin" habit.
On another note, the Bash Boys are amping up for their second performance (No record contracts yet ... ). Hopefully we'll all get together for at least ONE practice session at the hotel between airport runs.

I can't wait to hear the Bash Boys with special guest Arch Hall Jr.! Maybe Kenny Miller will join in again?? Arch and Kenny singing a duet!!
I am SO jacked about heading back to Bash. Have to fly this year, rather than drive, but it's still going to be a great trip. Touble is, look at the schedule, when do i shop in the dealer's room....and eat....and sleep.....and bathe ????? :o
It's looking better and better that I can make it. Put in for 2 personal days at work for that Fri and Sat and have some side jobs lined up for extra cash. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.
Is anyone else getting pumped for Monster Bash 2012? Maybe cause it's my first one, but I just can't wait. Who else is going?
Oh, I'll be there big time! Cute story: I was in my bank a few days ago chatting with the teller (who was wearing a "Nightmare before Christmas" Jack pendant). As I told her about Monster Bash her mouth dropped open wider and wider, ending with a plaintive "I wannna goooooooooooooooooo!"
(She was a cutie too! Single guys.....there are a lot of cute potential Bashers out there. Spread the word!! ;) )
I plant o be there all three days as long as my dog is well enough to leave her at the kennel... I am taking her to the vet today. I think her cancer (mast cell) has returned.
I'm sorry to hear that Monster Kid; i hope your dog stays well and you can Bash.
As for me; two weeks until I fly down (not driving this year). The rent-a-car costs almost as much as my return ticket, but it's worth it!! Just saw that Kenny Miller
will be singing with the Bash Boys band again. Great news! It'll be like being
in "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" (though my girlfriend thinks the song "Eeny Meeny Miney Moe" is kind of creepy...oh well!!) ;D
BASH! BASH! BASH! BASH! BASH! BASH! BASH!
So far, the ol' doggie is feeling very fine! (Knock on wood). I hope to see everyone in just abput a week and a half! A new Ray Harryhausen documentary will be screened, I hear!
Yeah looks like there will be a lot of great special features/ documentaries along with the movie line-up. I'm looking forward to seeing the rondo Hatton one too, and hearing Stan Gordon. I saw him a couple of years ago and his talk totally packed the room. Get a seat early if you want to see Stan.
This show is fabulous!
I'm so psyched about going. We should all meet up there and catch a one of the movies or dinner. I'd be nice to discuss Monster "stuff" face-to-face and meet some of the people on here. A few days before the event, I'll post on here what I'll be wearing so if anyone see me they can say hi. Or we can figure out a time and area to set up a meet. Just some ideas.
We could agree to wear our UMA T-shirts on a given day....
UMA T-Shirts? Where do I get one of these in time?
I think you can get through this web site!
I looked, but can't find anything.....who would have them?
Sorry Big Shadow I looked too and couldn't find it. Maybe a moderator would know??
One week to Monster Bash!!! Totaly jacked!!! One more training session to complete next week then I'm free......free to Bash!!
Just days away now. Preparations are in full gear at Bash Central. Here we go!
Oh, and be sure to check out the Bash Boys Friday night -- some surprises in store. (Who knows? We may even surprise ourselves!)

They are no longer available. Some lawyer-types said no-no. Theoretically, you could probably grab the image off the main ENTER page and make your own unofficial one.

Had a GREAT time at the Bash. Packing was tight so I brought only ONE monster shirt this year - and decided on my beloved UMA shirt. That was how I managed to meet Drunken Severed Head.
I also enjoyed Mr Lobo's presentation of Reptilicus, the documentary on Rondo Hatton, free tacos/burritos, song of the new wine, Brian Nichols' "Evil Kenevil on Skull Island" film, and Don Reese.
Great show, Ron, as always.

Those are some awesome tats!!! How'd I miss here there?
I only saw her at the Bash on Saturday; maybe she was a one-day attendee.
Bash was awesome, as usual. I kind of wish more dealers would stay until the very end of the Bash on Sunday (many start to pack up at 2-3pm), but I understand they may have to travel a fair distance to get home.
Next year the Bash is at a new location, the 4 Points Sheraton north of Pittsburgh. No more "Bash Dash" across 4 hazardous lanes of traffic to get to the Burger King or Pizza Hut, That was my only exercise all weekend!!
I hope the new place works out. They definitely have a need for access to more hotel rooms, but the Day's Inn at Butler was so....."B-movie". Familiar, comfortable, and a little ragged around the edges here and there. I hope the Sheraton knows what they are getting into!!
I think she was there just one day. I found out that she goes by the name Thea Munster.
What a fun Bash! And playing with Arch Hall? -- now that was a blast!!!!! For those of us behind the scenes, Bash always goes by too quickly. It's exhausting too, but the best kind of exhaustion (Moving things along Sat night was an experience!).
I'm sure most folks will enjoy the new hotel -- it's beautiful. But I'm gonna kinda miss the Bash Dash.

What's the deal with the move. Is this going to be a larger place?
Bob and Joe, it was great to see you. Let's have dinner together at the next Bash!
Bob, was the "Haunted House of Bargains" depleted? Oh, and I meant to tell you how much I like your Q and As and your playing with the band!

In response to the earlier question, yes, the new hotel is A LOT bigger: One very big dealers room, which will allow for significantly more dealers. Everything (dealers room, guests of honor, movie room, etc.) will be in one section of the hotel (no more wandering halls from room to room) and with space to spare. And it's a much more convenient location to other nearby hotels, restaurants and is closer to the airport). Plus the hotel itself is beautiful.
Regarding Bob's Bin, I did OK. Though surprisingly, a 12" Son of Frank Sideshow figure didn't sell. Back into the bin it goes.
Bob P.
This new place sounds good! How big will the movie room be? One thing I wish they would do is have a refreshments stand for movie-goers. I had to hunt down pop, water, and snacks all before a show started. A nice little area with a cooler and some snacks would be great!
Also did you have that Tor statue for sale? I seen it for a great price but forgot to grab one.
Refreshment stand near the movie room is a great idea. I'll bring it up with Ron.
Also, the Tor figure was Ron's (in the Creepy Classics room). The reduced price is because some fingers were broken on the figure. If you're interested, you can probably still get it from Creepy Classics (creepyclassics.com).

I just saw the brief videos about the new Bash hotel. Looks very nice!! I'm also wondering how big the movie room will be? This year's was bigger than normal and it was still packed for the most popular Saturday night events.
If it's very large, I wonder if there will be a way to partition off part of it to accomodate the smaller events, especially on Sunday afternoons when crowds tend to thin out? I also like the idea of having cold drinks available. Maybe Paisley will run a drink stand and make a fortune!! :)
Hopefully the movie room will be bigger. I plan on bringing my own chair next year just for a little more comfort. A refreshment stand would be great. Maybe even have some of the proceeds go to a charity.
