Title: Demonology
Post by: dad on November 04, 2011, 12:52:06 PM
For almost 20 years I have been a Paranormal Investigator and  Occult Researcher. I have been working on a few projects for the past few years and finally got the gumption up to follow through on a particular subject.... So I wrote a book, Demonology 101.

I am just uber happy and excited and figured I should tell the world.

What got you started in this field?  What movies, if any, with demons do you like?  You don't just start investigating and researching ANYTHING for 20 years without some point from which to jump.

dad- You have used your powers for good- and written a book!  I like that!  :)  I do not know anything about demons or the paranormal, as I am too scared to read anything that might keep me up at night, but I always like to support my fellow UMA-ers!  I HAVE seen Poltergeist numerous times and other movies from the 60s-80s. But that's about it. I am gonna check out your accomplishment and take a peek inside.  I am waaaaay too old to be a scaredy-cat any more!  :)  Also, the town that I live in just started up a paranormal tour and I am trying to get my husband to go with me. I live in Villa Rica, Ga. where there is supposedly a lot of paranormal stuff going on- leftover from the gold rush days. I want to find out more...but I need to get my courage up. We'll see...   :)

Well, for the better degree 20 years is an understatement. When I was younger as a child I had some experiences with the paranormal in some way shape and or form. I just felt I got old to research a bit on it. You know the typical read books, articles and eventually Documentaries on Paranormal and occult subjects. Then one day the most interesting thing happened, a friend had told me that her and her family thought they had a ghost in their home. So armed with an audio cassette recorder, a 35mm camera, I leaped at the chance to "house sit" when they went on vacation. I got no real photos that couldn't be debunks as either smoke and or an elusive camera strap, but the EVPs..... well now that had my attention, even though the audio was poor as this was an actual cassette recorder and the sound of the reel turning actually did make noise on those things, the voices that were encountered intrigued me. So I went through the years doing what I could, when I could (mind you I still had school, eventually a wife and child in my life as well) make the time to research. The Occult studies just went hand in hand with the paranormal studies as far as I was concerned. If I got a book on ghost, I got a book on magick and summoning. If I read the bible, I would the Book of Law by Crowley, I refuse to accept limitations.

That's cool stuff, Kurt.  There was a thread a few years back here that was about paranormal experiences.  I forget if it ended in bloodshed here. ::)

A topic that combines religions, faith and eventually in some twisted way politics? No never, it would never, ever end in bloodshed. LOL.

I just completed an interview last night for Darkness Radio out of the twin cities area, and am getting ready for a few more interviews, one being Coast to Coast AM on 11.18, and judging by my prep work for it I assure you, even in over the phone and radio interviews people always wish to start a small argument. LOL
