Hello, I just wanted to see if you could help me with some info. about Forrest Ackerman`s Dracula Ring? I know that Christopher Lee had worn it, John Carradine, and of course Bela Lugosi. But in a Halloween Special called "Heart Stoppers, Horror at the Movies" Forry says that Vincent Price had also wore the ring too! Could You tell me wich movie it was that Price had worn the Dracula Ring? Vincent Price did play a vampire in an episode of F-Troop and wore a ring as well but I dont think its "the D-Ring" I`ve done my homework for years on this ring but this is the only thing that stumps me. Any info. would be Appreciated!!
Thanks!!

I've never heard of Vinnie wearing the Dracula ring in a film, but it's possible he put on the ring while with Forry during one of the many times the two were in the same place at the same time. I can't think of any specific film Vinnie might have worn the ring as part of his role, but then....
It's possible that Forry loaned it to Price to wear in "The Monster Club," the only time Price played a vampire on film (to my knowledge). Also, Lee never wore Forry's ring on film. It was a casting of the face that Forry had made as gifts for Lee and a few other select friends (I believe Dr. Donald A. Reed received one).
Thanks for your reply! It just seemed to me when he mentioned the actors that had wore it, it sounded like he may have worn it too.
He played a vampire in a episode of F- Troop and wore a ring but I`m not sure that it is the d-ring, I will have to check it out the monster club. Thanks!!!

But wasn't he a fake vampire in "F-Troop"? "The Monster Club" (1980) was his only film appearance as a "real" vampire.
I`m not really sure about him being a fake vamp in f-troop I`ve just been going on photos of him as a vamp with a ring, I`ve never really seen the episode.

The character's name was Count Sfoza (a play on the name of the Italian Count Sforza, a true historical character), seen in the second season episode "V Is for Vampire." All photo references I could find show him wearing white gloves, but he does appear to be wearing a ring over them. None of the photos were clear enough to make out the ring, though.
Thanks for the info. on that!! Heres a pic of him from that wearing a ring but I`m thinking now it was probably just an a novelty.

That's definitely not the Dracula ring. Maybe it was "The Monster Club" where he wore it, after all.

It wasn't in any movie or TV show, but on a visit to Forry's house.
I agree with you! I wish I had been a fly on the wall with that pic of Price & Forry. But at least I had the honor of meeting the ackermonster back in 93
