Title: Darth does Disneyland
Post by: Fester on August 06, 2011, 12:31:40 PM
To advertise the reopening of its Star Tours feature, Disneyland created this little gem.

Love the Haunted Mansion bit!

Nice.  I've seen a shorter version on TV lately.  Funny stuff.

Excellent!

Ever see the little girl who wants to join the dark side?

That ad makes me want to go to Disney AS Darth Vader. ;D

The little girl who wanted to join the Sith could be my 2 year old.  She likes the Disney villains more than the princesses.  She just turned 3.  Last year whe we saw Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios in Disney World, she roared with delight and made sinister laughs and hand gestures when the bad guys came on, emulating them.

She refers to watching Star Wars as 'watching Darth Vader'.

Love it.

That was fantastic! I'll have to share it with my grandson, he will have hearts popping out of his head when he sees that cool little girl!  :)   He always asks me to say funny things like "I like kittens" in Asajj Ventress's voice and he delights in the evil characters as well!
SEAN- You have some awesome sounding little people in your family :)  Isn't it sweet that they identify with all characters equally, without judgement? The best parts of Fantasmic are the villains!

My 3 year old looked at my wife's coffee this morning and said 'that's the color of the Wolf Man's face'...  Everything now relates back to monsters for her.  I wonder why (we watched part of The Mummy's Ghost today)... ;)

Sean, that's a great color reference! You should always ask for your coffee that way! My husband likes his coffee- tarantula colored!  :)
I hope you get her a plush monster buddy soon, she sounds like she is well on her way of becoming your Monster BFF  :)

The plush monster buddy is a great idea----I hadn't thought of it.  Sunday her sister wanted to watch 102 Dalmations.  SHE wanted to watch a Mummy movie with Lon Chaney Jr.  I asked her who her favorite monster is------she said the Wolf Man.  She added that she likes him on TV in a movie-----but wouldn't like him in her house because he's scary.   :)
