Beautifully stated McDee..........I couldn't agree more. Amy Winehouse's death was the ultimate in selfish excess. These Marines exemplified selfless sacrifice. The contrast couldn't be any more stark. Amy WHO??

I agree wholeheartedly. Happily there is a tiny pocket of media for them. Mike Morris, the ex long snapper for the Mn Vikings, has a morning show on the local Sports Talk AM station. He refers to himself tongue in cheek as "The Superstar". At the end of every single show (five per week) he dedicates the show to "a TRUE Superstar" and lists the name, age, home city and cause of death of a Serviceman killed in action, asking us all to keep him/her and their family in our hearts and prayers. Not much, but it comforting to know someone has the guts to keep a candle lit. They will not be forgotten.
