Lead singer and bass player for the Grass Roots, Rob Grill has passed away. A truly iconic voice from the late 60's -70's. What a shame....

My sister and I were discussing his passing on Tuesday night, and we looked up the lyrics to some of his songs as well. I had heard Let's Live for Today, but I never really listened to the song in its entirety. My sister and I were both touched by the performances we watched on Youtube, and impressed by Mr. Grill's dreamy vocals. :) That song will stick around in my head forever. It is really beautiful, and I hope Mr. Grill can rest in peace.
I used to listen them on AM radio when I was a kid doing my home work. I haven't heard this song in years but when I read this post and thought about it I still knew the most of the song by heart. Good memories, Thanks Rob.

Saw Rob with the Grass Roots along with Peter Noonen and Herman's Hermits at the Paramount theater in Aurora, IL about five years ago and they still sounded great. Rob was signing autographs after and he was very personable. One of my favorite bands. RIP Rob.
