Hey guys!
Just had a quick question for any resident Aurora monster model experts...
I have a thin box Frankenstein and I've always wondered if the build up was original. I was just reading someone's eBay auction for a thin box Frankenstein that mentions that the original issue (1961) had slightly different copyright info. Does anybody know what the correct copyright info is on the origial issue thin box Frankenstein?
Mine says " (C) AURORA PLASTICS CORP.
1961"

Is that the correct info for a first issue Frankenstein? I wouldn't be surprised if mine were a later issue build-up, as people around here were mixing up kits all the time around here... Especially the Frightening Lightning kits. :(
Thanks for your help. I know this is pretty dorky. I've just been wondering for years. :)

Not an expert myself but according to http://members.aol.com/thebananasplits/frankenstein/ (http://members.aol.com/thebananasplits/frankenstein/) the original issues were cast in light gray plastic were as the Frightening Lightening and Glow versions were black plastic.
Here's a picture from a current auction showing the info posted below by Jim Bertges!

Looks like an early original issue to me. Later issues had a bar added that reads "Copyright 1961 Universal Pictures Corp. Inc." under the Aurora information.
Thanks. That makes me feel better.
I had a "bonus" question but I'll save that for another time. ;)
Looks like an original to me too. I have a kit with the 1961 Aurora copyrights along with the Universal Pictures copyright too.
