Title: Moving
Post by: RedKing on April 21, 2011, 01:06:45 PM
My family and I are in the process of moving, which is a huge hassle! We decided to move after my wife lost her job (I lost mine back in October and nothing has been forthcoming despite my searching non stop). Luckily friends of ours that run the dog and cat rescue we work with have a huge old house and are renovating the upstairs loft for us. Hopefully we will be all moved in within the next couple weeks and once I get my Monster Room set up i will be sure to show everyone the new pics!

Moving sucks .. Sorry to hear about your temporary streak of bad luck and hope that things turn around soon .. Living in a loft of a huge house does sound like fun.

Sorry to hear about your job situation. Hopefully you'll be back on your feet soon. What kind of job are you trying to find?

Prayers and good wishes to you and yours!

Moving is a pain in the bum. It's very good of your friends to go out of their way for you and your family, we wish you the best in moving.

Thanks everyone! I finally have a few leads on art related jobs-I'm doing some work for a small local comic company on a horror western and I applied to a couple places, one needing horror and fantasy art and another needing someone to paint military miniatures. My problem is I am a jack of all trades and master of none-I've worked all kinds of jobs in my life from running a seafood department at a chain grocery to building and helping design military thermal targets! At this stage in my life (I am about to turn 40 in a month) I would like to get a job I enjoy in the art field, but I'll take what i can get! I am currently working on an IT web design degree which will help. The loft is really cool, even in it's unfinished state now, and it is incredibly nice of our friends to open it up for us. We are helping full time with the rescue dogs, which is really awesome-we have about 8 nursing moms and several more litters of weaned puppies, which are too cute and so much fun, but alot of work!

Well, all those good vibes you generate with the puppies (not to mention the "Just being a cool monster-kid" vibes) will reverberate back and land you the gig of your dreams my friend. I believe it!
