Didn't see this posted (forgive me if I missed it), but the 9th Annual Rondo Awards are now up for voting and once again the UMA is nominated in the category of Best Website.
Vote here: http://www.rondoaward.com/ (http://www.rondoaward.com/)
I am extremely pleased to be included in the category of Best Fan Event, along with UMAer Frank Dietz and others:
"Too Many Creeps," a reading at Monsterpalooza of Ted Newsom's Lugosi play, featuring David Skal, Frank Dietz, Perry Shields, David Schow, Brinke Stevens. Mark Redfield and more.
So, time to cast our votes!
Congrats, Perry! I'm humbled & honored that my article on the radio/audio of Dickens' ghost story of Christmas got a nod; and UMA stalwart Max the Drunken Severed Head's Blog made the cut, too!
Good luck to all,
-Craig
Awesome. Lost Creek got a nomination. Good thing they separated short films from other feature-length docs and indie films. Not fair for short films to compete with features. Thank you Rondo organizers for making that change. But now I'm going to have to get the entire Lost Creek film online so that people actually have a chance to see it.
Congrats to all!
Good luck, Ray!
(Sorry I slipped on listing you.)

If you haven't yet submitted your Rondo Awards write in vote for CLASSIC MOST IN NEED OF RESTORATION, might I suggest DRACULA (1931), re-edited following the continuity in George Melford's Spanish language version? You can get an idea of what it might look like from the link in my thread at the CHFB: http://monsterkidclassichorrorforum.yuku.com/topic/36752/Tod-Browning-s-DRACULA-The-Melford-Cut. If you've seen it, I think you'll agree that it would be nice to have an official release version.
