Seems vaguely familiar, but not sure whether or not I'm just confusing it with "Thunderbirds".

I liked "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons" but never watched "Stingray" or "Thunderbirds" because the heads looked too goofy.  The scale was off and made them look like bobbleheads.  Overall though, Gerry Anderson's supermarionettes were amazing.

Love this show, and all of Gerry Anderson's shows really. The marionettes can be off putting at first, but the miniature effects work alone is worth watching the shows. Plus they all have absolutely fantastic musical scores!

Don't forget that Derek Meddings was responsible for many of the miniatures and he went on to making movies like Superman and such. "Anything can happen in the next half hour!" What a great opening tagline, I loved this show.

My brother loved it!  I thought it was stupid because it was marionettes.  I think that's pretty cool now.

My boyfriend has all the episodes and I like it pretty well, although I'm not too keen on the incompetent Commander Shore, who puts up with the most slipshod security ever to disgrace a military base.   Repeatedly the Marineville secuirty staff lets the chief villain, a Peter Lorre lookalike, onto the base.  They never recognize the guy in any of his disguises even though he makes no attempt to disguise his Peter Lorre voice.  It gets frustrating.

My favorite Gerry and Sylvia Anderson Supermarionation series will always be their earlier works, SUPERCAR and FIREBALL XL-5 , which my boyfriend also has on DVD, and which I recently discovered).
