My beloved cousin Sara--"Cuz" I always call her--UMA member vpdogjoe--lost her dad this morning. And today is her birthday. A sad sort of coincidence that life hands out rarely. Cousin Stan Strimple was 90--he was a WWII vet and worked as a postman/mailman for many years. In daily life, he was a farmer as well. Cuz is handling it well--her dad had been sinking into the whirlpool of Alzheimer's for the past year and had frequently talked about how he wanted to be with Cuz's mom, who died the year before. He's with her now.
Cuz doesn't often post here--most recently I posted photos for her over at MEMORABLE MEMORABILIA of her collection of Vincent Price pressbooks and she posted a couple times then. She's had a very full plate the past year or two with family care and such. I just wanted to post here to give cousin Stan a farewell salute. He did a lot of good in this world. Rest in peace, Stan.

Although I've sent my condolences privately, I'd like to echo those same sentiments here. Although often quiet and shy, Sara is a sweetheart and often puts others ahead of herself. I'm wishing her, Robert, and the rest of the family peace and love at this difficult time.
Rob
My condolences to Sara, Robert and the whole family.
Sorry to hear the sad news Robert and Cuz Sara.
