Of course, it's not really my project as much as it's Eliot's.
Another dream come true.
I always wondered how great it would be to share all of this with Don Post, himself.
Not possible, I know.
However, it is nice to be able to honor him in the museum he helped to inspire!

Thanks, Eliot, I couldn't be happier!
Wow, that's amazing. It took me awhile before I realized he wasn't alive.

I knew he wasn't, but at first glance (before reading the message) I thought the first photo was an old one from when he was. Very nicely done! Beautiful sculpt!

That's why your head is so big in your avatar. To house that big brain!

That's just swelling from the brain operation.
Didn't mean to sound like I was bragging. Just part of the explaination of why I thought it was an old photo.

You weren't or I didn't take it that way. Just giving you a hard time. ;D

That came out AMAZING! Wow, what a job! I love the head Eliot did and now the package is complete.
Congrats!
WOW! Remarkable work. So lifelike I had to second guess that first photo. Amazing.
It's so lifelike, it's creepy. The more I look at it, the more it gives me the willies!
Alright it's official, you win. Coolest collection of stuff ever. Geez I mean come on, you've got freakin' Don Post standin' there? :o ;D :o
OK, jaw has dropped once too often. Gotta go to the doctor and get me one o' them-there chin slings. Absofreakinlutely perfect addition to what was already a completely enviable collection, Dan. This old collector of crumbs is humbled in the presence of the young conqueror!
Truly impressive!

Bravo! - y'know, it's touches like that which make ones collection totally unique - just genius!
Has Don Jr. stopped by to see it yet?
One of the VERY BEST figures that I've EVER seen....including museums....much less a private collection....
Please convey to the Dr. my highest praise and congratulations!
Don Post in your collection...unbeliveable!!!
Not only his masks...but an effigy of the man himself. I concur. You win! ;D
Actually we all win...thanks for sharing Dan!
I vow to see all this stuff in person someday! (with advance notice of course! LOL)
All are welcome...few leave!
Mwauhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Truly beautiful work, and it looks as friendly as I hear the man himself actually was.
When Opportunity knocked recently, I had to answer the door--Dan, you are an inspiration! I had to add Mr. Post to my own little rooms...well, not all of him!

Beautiful, beautiful display! Congrats!
Seeing that full-body figure made me think how cool a 12" figure version would be. It could come with mini versions of all the Don Post calendar masks.
A licensing nightmare!
Again, beautiful work, Sirs!
Robert, that is GREAT!
Welcome ot the club.
Trap door maker...that is a wicked cool idea!
I know I'm late in chiming in here, but better late than never I guess. WoW! This is utterly amazing! Dan, I gotta hand it to you. You never cease to amaze. What rabbitt could you possibly pull out of that hat of yours next? It's tuly magical. Thanks for sharing such pixel fantasies!
This goes for that old fart Robert too. Your always so regular. :)

He must have a diet high in Fiber! ;D

Not to veer off in a sidebar that's vulgar...
But I do eat my fair share of lentils and bulgur!
I'm convinced that Dan has Don Post. The REAL Don Post, just dipped in wax!
So Roebuck has a wax museum. Cool! And Robert, eater of lentils and high fiber foods, has a gas chamber!
Since Dan started this thread and showed us the wonderful Post figure, I've wondered if anyone ever did a Harryhausen tribute mask/head? Dan, do you know if such a thing exists? Anyone know? That's one I'd surely love to have--especially if it were of quality equal to the E. Brodsky Don Post.
Marvelous stuff, fellas!
I am getting motivated to finally get my collection in gear a bit. I want to do something more than have a few toys on my bookshelf. I wanna do a MONSTER ROOM, too!
Thanks for giving me the push to get some sketches of potential layout designs! Much obliged!
I'm sure I"ll obsess about the layout for the next year now, but at least it's a step forward!
