Just heard this at work
Wonderful actress Gloria Stuart, well-remembered for her work in such classic horrors as THE OLD DARK HOUSE and THE INVISIBLE MAN, as died at the age of 100. One of her last roles was that of "old Rose" in TITANIC. She was a brilliant lady and spent many years working as a printer of fine books and pamphlets.

Don't worry Richard, I fixed it for you.
Thanks for posting Robert. Thanks to Titanic, I became aware of Gloria and her wonderful body of work!

I'm glad she made it to 100. We will remember her fondly for these 2 great films:

RIP Gloria, from your UMA family.

I'm also at work, just heard the news. My first exposer to Gloria Stuart was on the cover of Famous Monsters #66 (The Old Dark House), the first issue of FM I ever owned.
I also lost my grandfather Lundy earlier this year, at age 100. He was as active & healthy as anyone could hope to be at that age. It's my intention, for the Highest Good, that we all enjoy a life as long & prosperous as Grandpa & Ms. Stuart.
Farewell to "Glorious Gloria". How she will be missed.
Elisabeth :'(
The younger ones will remember her from Titanic but to me she will always be remembered from The Invisible Man. R.I.P.

GLORIA STUART, at 100 years, has completed her last Chore,
Passed, away, into THE LIGHT, through Earth's Final Door,
Her Spirit, EVERNOW, soaring, aloft,
Re-united, I pray, with BORIS KARLOFF;
A UMA Favourite, we are, all, now, lamentably, more, poor.

Sorry to hear of your loss my friend........but how great is it to have had him with you for so long?? I never knew either of my grandfathers, and I always felt cheated by it.
Sorry Lundy.
RIP Ms Stuart.

I always thought she was a class act.
RIP, dear.
R.I.P. Ms. Stuart. I loved her in The Old Dark House.
It was a comforting thought to know someone like her was still walking the earth. Now she's gone. It's too bad for us.
Wow..what a terrific and classy lady. RIP, Gloria and thank you for sharing your wonderful and iconic life with us all.
R.I.P. Gloria. You will be missed.
What a lovely lady. I got to meet her a few years ago when she was being honored at a press evnet for Universal Horror Nights that I was covering for Scary Monsters.
Got an autograph from her through the mail just a few weeks back. Such a sweet woman. Rest In Peace, dear lady...
Dear Lady R.I.P.

It is taking me some time to catch up on news, etc. this week since I was on vacation last week. I did not know Gloria Stuart passed on until now. How sad! I was JUST thinking about her this morning before coming to work. Bless her.
