so i dont know ebay that much, havent used it that many times, but i saw that there were universal monster bobble heads for auction and i wanted them, they were 4.99 opening bid with 6.00 each for shipping, i put down the a bid on all 5 of them for 5.50 and won all 5, so NOW! even tho all 5 pieces are gonna be shipped to the same house in the same box, i have to pay 6 bucks for each one, that hads up to 25 dollars for the items, and 30 something for the shipping, this doesnt seem right, ive been trying to contact the seller about comming up with a combined shipping rate for all of the together, but i get no response.
i think 30 dollars to ship these 5 smaller size items is bit extreme. maybe im wrong.
does anyone have any advice for me? perhaps someone that has delt with this type of situtation.
any help i get will be greatly appreciated.
thanks ryan!
Which bobble heads were they? If they are resin, they wouldn't be cheap to ship.
Unless the seller had a deal on shipping, or agrees to combine shipping, there's not much you can do. You should check that out before bidding, by writing the seller in advance. Also check out the seller's feedback before bidding.
Unless the seller notes in his conditions that he'll combine shipping for multiple wins, you might be out of luck here.
How long has it been since you messaged him about combining the shipping? I would think that he should answer you one way or the other. Like the others have said, he's under no obligation to do so, but it is a good business practice to do such a thing if you want repeat customers.

Next to the Search box at the top of any eBay page, there is a link to "Advanced Search"
Click that and under the link box on the left side, at the bottom, there is a choice called "Find contact information"
Click that and enter the seller's eBay ID and the listing number of one of the items. It will generate an email to both of you with the contact info and phone number of each other. Get the phone number, and call the seller.
The other side of that is...
I did a little looking around and found the listings you won. I understand you may have a financial situation which may make this difficult, but the bobbleheads you won are a limited exclusive the Virginia State Lottery gave out as prizes in 2002. This price is on the high side I think, but if you are into them around $10 each, you have a really great buy on some fairly rare monster toys. Personally, I would pay it, and encourage the seller to use some of the shipping money to make sure they are well packed.

OMG! You got the lottery bobbles for $11 shipped?! Pay the man and thank him!! And yes, do tell him to pack carefully! Those don't come in a form fitting styro box and are very fragile! And congrats! I can't believe no one bid against you?
ok guys thanks alot, i did get a response, he was very busy and could not respond, but he said he will combine shipping, but you bring up a good point, i do want these little gems to be packed snuggly, so i will talk to him about that.
and yea i have seen these for a while and wanted them but couldnt afford the huge price tags i was seeing them for. AND i didnt know there was 6 in the set, until i saw the creature. thanks for all the advice, you guys are great
ryan
You got a real good buy there.
However, if you really feel screwed (it is possible he may refund excess postage to your account--I do it) in the feedback section one of the questions you are asked to answer is WAS THE POSTAGE REASONABLE? if the package comes to you with only $10 shipping on it and no indication os insurance, you may want to answer that question truthfully.
