Hello Everyone,
I am new to the board, I have a set of 17 houses from Universal Monsters Hawthorne Village. I have a list of the houses I currently have and would like to know which are the ones I'm missing to complete the set. I apologize if this issue has been brought up in the past...
Here is the list:
House of Dracula
The Mummy's Museum
Haunted Rita (the ship from Creature From the Black Lagoon)
Fortune Teller Campsite (from the Wolfman)
Frankenstein's Cottage
Burial Site (from Bride of Frankenstein)
Castle Frankenstein
Frankenstein's Castle (the laboratory)
Dracula's Castle
Burning Windmill (from Frankenstein)
Creature From the Black Lagoon
Invisible Man's Inn
Translyvania Train Station
Phantom's Paris Opera House
Bride of Frankenstein Castle
Mummy's Tomb
Wolfman's Lair
Thanks in advance!
HorrorFreakNY*
Hope this helps :):

Kinda does... But is that the complete list? I see there are "question marks" under 21 and 22
Thanks
I doubt anyone ever made it that far. I always believed the final one to be the Invisible Man's Demise.
I know someone who made it that far... Here are the two question marks.
021 EXCAVATION SITE
022 WOLFMAN'S MANSION

lol, it's part of my OCD. ;D
I recently cleaned up and plugged in all my monster village stuff. I'll go count them and report back :)
WOW, just wanna THANK everyone for their help!! Now I need to go search for the missing sets!! To complete the village!
BTW, Velcome to the Group Horrorfreak! Please introduce yourself in the Who we are thread.
BK
BK,
Thanks for the welcome! I was looking for the "who we are" section and couldn't find it... :(
Welcome HFNY! You can open the Induction Center on the Home page and sign in with the Guestbook thread at the top. Enjoy the site. There's lots to look at. Just be careful. You never no what's around the corner.
Finally got around to comparing my pieces with those listed, looks like 22 is the magic number!! At least that's all I had. But there was at least one other accessory set released!!
1. It's alive!
2. Dracula Rises!
3. Mummy's Curse
4. Black lagoon
5. Beware the Full Moon
6. Frankenstein's town Mob
7. Bride of Frankenstein
8. Phantom of the Opera
9. Invisible Man
10. Grave Robbers
11. Uncovering Artifacts
12. Dracula's Vampires
and; 13. Searching for the Creature
(http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh10/zombiehorror01/DSCN1327.jpg)
For monetary reasons I had to drop my Hawthorne Village subscription (earlier this year) so I'm not sure if any other village/accessory sets have been released since!?
Does anyone have pics of the ENTIRE series? Now that would be something!
Ok, I must have been mistaken. I've never seen that set that zombiehorror posted, which by the way is awesome! I thought I had the full set, but I don't think I ever bought the accessory set. I need to go take a looksee at my village and count the buildings, but I think I only have 19 plus the creature lagoon which isn't working right now. Also, I have no idea where the little certificates are. Ugggh But I can still take pictures if needed. :)

I had to drop my subscription also after being laid off of work. :( >:(
Thanks again guys! I also own the entire set of the "Hawthorne Hollywood Horror Village" I wish they would of continued with more!
I'll just need to complete the "Universal Village" and I'll be set ... :D

Oh man that's so awesome, hit I'm new here, nice to meet all of you :D My name is EvilDeadFan, and I love the Universal monsters! Well back to the pictures, yeah, I just got the burning windmill in today, so cool, however with the mummy's tomb, I never got the figure D: gotta call them, and do you need to order the village gate separately? Thanks in advance! :D
This is so cool. I'm considering getting this set.
Wow, that collection is awesome!
I actually just got a thing in the mail from The Bradford Exchange for the Universal Studios Monsters Halloween Village Accessory Sets! Nothing new just some of the ones you see in my previous pictures; Creature from the Black Lagoon, Beware the Full Moon, Frankenstein's Town Mob, Phantom of the Opera and Searching for the Creature. Not sure if these are the only sets left but it says it is the "FINAL OPPORTUNITY to obtain these must-have accessories"!?

What's "Searching for the Creature"?
I wouldn't mind getting one of the tiny Creature acc. 3 piece figure sets. Do you have to buy the whole mess of them, or can you just get the Creature ones?
Didn't care for the that "Village" Creature thing and I don't know what the UMs have to do with trains.
What happened to the Hawthorne "Universal Monster Matinee" pieces? I don't even know if those came out? I never see them on ebay.

Searching for the Creature is the set pictured above with the 3 researchers/archeologists, table and the fossilized claw in the rock! Here is the other Creature accessory set, which I believe was just called "Black Lagoon"~

Yep, the Monster Matinee would have been an awesome piece, I signed up around 3 times for it before finally getting the letter that it was canceled!

I'm not really sure what they had to do with trains but I had to have them all the same and I actually think they turned out pretty cool! As far as I know this was it for the train selection:

I too would like to buy those Creature sets - how can you resist a Captain Lukas figure? How do you order just those?
Wow! That matinee set actually does look really awesome! Shame it was cancelled.
Out of curiosity, what does the total set cost? Like $1500+?

Dang, why'd you have to go and ask that question!! Adding it up the village itself comes to $1760 (22 [buildings] x $80.00 [includes $10 s/h]), the accessory sets come to $546 (13 [separate collections] x $42 [includes $6.99 s/h]) for a grand (Actually a couple grand!) total of $2306!! Wow now I know why they only send one every couple of months....you really don't think about the total cost!

I don't know if this will help but the item #'s for the sets are; 14-00138-004 (the set that includes Captain Lucas) and 14-00138-013 (the fossilized Creature hand set). I don't have the actual order form, it went out with the recycle this am. Neither of these numbers comes up in a search on Bradford, but maybe calling them could make it so you could order these individually!?
Perfect thanks! They are $35 each plus shipping, but since they tend to top out at $50 to $60 on eBay, I figured what the heck. Thanks again!

Never seen those before! Not a lot of Creature to it. Would love to have all the figures, but not crazy about the rest. Rita isn't bad, but why are there trees growing out of it?

With the exception of the standing Creature, all the figures are from the two stand alone sets. I love that the Rita set has the hand reaching out of the water in what I take to be a tribute to the Dell comics cover (though it's a human hand on the comic). I've never seen it in person, but I think the trees are on the river's bank, and the whole ship is made to look as if it's abandoned and dilapidated. I've wanted it since it came out and went ahead and ordered it today as well, since it's the only Rita object ever produced (tmk) and they let me buy it outright - yet not without an attempt to upsell to the whole line. Totally forgot about the tent, but at $60 I just don't find that one quite cool enough. Yet.

Are you discussing the big vinyl bank or is there another piece on the DST slate? If I remeber correctly, the bank has been solicited and though it was a prototype that was on display at Comic Con, Chuck from Diamond said it and Frankenstein are on the way (and that he thought the water was going to stay blue, damn it). SRP on those big banks is 19.99, but we all should definitely preorder from our local comic shop or online retailers. The DST monster releases are mostly seasonal.

The trees are part of the landscape behind the Rita!

Here's the Lagoon piece, you can fill it with water and it has a mister in it to cover the water's surface in "fog"~

I'm interested. Also, is the Creature figure from the smoking Lagoon set the same as the one included with the train car? And none of these have illustrated boxes, do they?

Yep, the figures that came with the trains were all the same as the first Monster Village offerings and there were no illustrated boxes for any of this stuff, just white styrofoam!
Well, I'd rather have the train car than the smoke Lagoon. Perhaps it too is still in stock. Thanks again for the titles and item codes, I don't believe they would have found them without. I had to spell Rita three times for the operator before it came up (I think she had it right p, but that their database isn't great).
I'm thinking of starting the subscription in a month or two. Do you have to specially order some of the bonus figures or do they come automatically?
BTW, Zom
That really is an awesome collection of Hawthorn UM stuff!

The way it worked before was once you are signed up for the Village they would then send you out a letter detailing the accessory sets that you sign up for separate and from there it works just like the rest of the collections where you receive the newest figures every few months.

Thanks, I really wanted to do the Munsters Village as well but that just wasn't happening....even when the economy was better! They also had the modern Horror Village which I would have loved to have had, I just find it really kitsch to have Freddy, Leatherface, Jason, Michael Meyers, Dawn of the Dead and Chucky figures from somewhere like Bradford Exchange.
