Love The Shadow! I even enjoyed the Baldwin movie, very much I might add.
The Spider all the way. The only version of The Shadow I liked were the OTR shows ,The Serial and Shadow Behind the Mask movie even though none of them are very much alike. I read a few of the novels and found them rather boring.
I've a couple Doc Savage books but just couldn't get into them that much.
The Spider,if you have never read any is action packed and very violent. Many of the stories I would classify as "weird menace". If follywood didn't screw it up this could be great movie material.

Yep,seen em both a couple times. Fun stuff and action packed. I'd like to see one done today but set in the original time period.

Dude,there WAY too many pulp writers to do a poll. Many of these guys got paid pennies on the word. That is how they were paid except for the few BIG names.
For those of you that don't already know about this place it is one of the coolest sites to buy reprints from. I have been buying from them for many years and had attended Pulpcon in the Chicago area a couple times.
