Title: Vincent Price 1:1 Bust, Painted
Post by: drthomasholmes on March 10, 2008, 11:49:46 PM
Well, I finally had some time to work on one of these. I've been casting so many of these, I was sick of seeing it. This is for someone else. I still have some work to do with the lips and with the eyes. For the record, I used Windsor Newton oils for the flesh, and craft acrylics for the eyes and hair. Then I sprayed him with Dullcote, which is the first time I used that instead of Krylon. Worth the extra money. I am looking forward to seeing the build-ups from others. Vincent is one of my favorite actors ever.

Cool!
Is that rubber or resin or vinyl?

Coming along nicely.  That's a good looking bust.  Did you sculpt it?

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I sculpted it. I'm about 3/4 done on a Glenn Strange Frank, hopefully done in the next two weeks as time allows.
It is resin, although on my personal copy I'd like to add hair.
One of the resin kit mags is doing an article next issue.

Beautiful work!

I especially like what you did with the eyes.
