Title: Dracula
Post by: The Boogeyman 1978 on August 04, 2010, 10:32:43 PM
This is one of the most incredible pieces I have ever owned. The amazingly talented, Rob Tharp, painted this up & it is top notch!

It also has custom hands, cape & Dracula's ring.  8)

Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make.

Thank you everybody, I appreciate the comments.

I bought everything as a set. The mask, hands, ring & cape all came together.

He is at home with his monster friends now.  ;D

I've looked at that picture of your shelf at least 10 times and I have enjoyed each viewing!  I especially like the Mutant, but the whole collection is beautifully arranged.   :)

I know that this is a minor point, but I've noticed that the vintage Dracula masks, posters, lobby cards etc. feature Dracula with brown eyes while Lugosi's were bright blue. Even official Universal lobby cards have the eyes brown. Does anybody know why this is the case? I think he looks more menacing with brown eyes.

Mord, I have no clue why they changed his eye color on vintage masks, posters, lobby cards, etc... Perhaps they share your sentiments & felt he looked more menacing with brown eyes.

I am sure there is someone on here who has a definitive answer. Anyone care to clear this up?
