Brief respite from the HPL-fest.

Dr. Jekyll and the Werewolf (1972)

Watched the Extended Export Version and the Special Features on the new Mondo Macabro Blu-ray. Highly recommended!

Just a thought about the great director Leon Klimovsky who faced criticism about "going fast" to please producers and ensure future jobs... the fire of that pace may have actually helped him achieve some of those highly effective artistic flourishes which make some of his films so highly appreciated now.

Near Dark today.  Tubi put it up and it's OOP physically, so I took the opportunity.  It was okay.  The atmosphere was great, but the movie was kind of a letdown by comparison.

Bill Paxton had all the best stuff to do.  Lance Henriksen had a great presence but didn't do all that much.

Closing out the night with Night of the Comet while I try to fall asleep.  Gonna try to knock out a couple movies I've been buying and not watching tomorrow.

Finished Chucky: Season 2. This really is a great show.  It embraces the weirdness of the movies and brings everything together.

Finishing out the night with The Flesh Eaters.  I started it a while back but tonight's the night to finish it.
