Lol, mine came out no where near that beautiful.
Some insects wear natural colors that vivid to warn predators that they're toxic but that thing could kill if it stung you!
I have that kit too but have not built it yet. You did a great job on it. There was another series of giant insect kits from MPC from back in the '70s I believe. There were four of them and I think three were repopped about 20 years ago and those are easy to find on eBay for cheap. I have the tarantula, mantis, and scorpion along with a set of three resin bases from Red Planet for replacing the cardboard box bases with the kit. I have only done the tarantula so far and it turned out pretty nice.
